Full now. And tired! This week at work, I had to physically restrain a child. First time I have ever had to.

I work with kids at an after school program. We do summer, winter and spring break programming as well. This week was our first week and it was hell. On Wed, a "high functioning" autistic boy had a melt down and started attacking other kids. I had to restrain him and he started to attack me.

Well, he was never officially calmed. He ran out of the center and my coworker had to chase him down for 6 blocks. He was sent home and kicked out of the morning program. He is out of the afternoon drop in until Wed.

WOrking with kids is very hard and also very thankless. If you ever send your kids to an afterschool program or day care, remember to show your appreciation. Parents don't understand that it really is not easy working with crappy kids that we can't discipline the way we would like.

Yep, not my kids. I let them do whatever they want. No discipline. lol, they can have all the candy and soda they want. As long as it keeps them distracted. :rofl:

Yeah, usually the kids are somehow less crazy than the parents. My little brother is in Cub Scouts, about to go into Boy Scouts, and my mom has met some absolutely insane parents. Jesus. Few things make people ridiculous as much as people interacting with their kids.
