Standardized testing? I hate that poop. They are everywhere out here and because schools get more money the better the average scores of their students, they cram stuff down the student's throats. Kids don't ever really learn, they just regurgitate.

Hey, I miss this thread. What's up everyone? Mene seems to be pretty dead these days, I guess people are starting school again and stuff? I don't start till late late September, but I don't spend as much time as I used to by the computer so that's why I've been inactive. Been busy partying. :D

That's nice, how long is your break for? I'm going back to London on September 10th so I'm going to be trying to enjoy my time to the fullest while I'm home.. and when I get back I might disappear for a little while so I can catch up with people again. But I wanna try to pop back here every now and then to help keep this place alive.

I have a three week break. I am leaving for CA on the 27th, which I am very excited about. When I come back, I won't have to work again until the 13th of Sept.

I still think he's in prison. I guess it's been too long to hold on to the acid tripping on a cruise somewhere explanation... or he's been kidnapped by an unknown tribe somewhere, who insist he's their deity and are worshiping him.

Ugh, I just woke up with a massive cold. Just made some porridge, haven't done that in ages. Finally got the salt right though, so it's actually pretty nice. I should do this more often..

I have not had porridge in ages! It is not such a...not popular...but...common food choice out here in the states. Personally, I like it. I know a lot of folks that do not, though. Porridge is tricky. If you can, you should make some grits!

I think porridge is generally really underrated. If you get it right, it's really tasty, and it's really not that difficult to get right.. you can even microwave it. Which is what I did, because I'm lazy.. I didn't stir it enough, so it had a couple of dry bits, but other than that it was good.
What's grits?

Grits are kind of like the American version of porridge. Though isn't porridge made of wheat? Grits is a corn product. Most of American actually doesn't even know it exists. If they do, they think it is some kind of fancy oatmeal. Grits is most popular in what some of us call the "bible belt" or "tornado alley." The south western and mid-western states. It's really good with butter. :D

Oh, I see. Porridge is made of oats.. grits sound interesting. And with butter? I usually have my porridge with milk and raisins.. P:

Haha, it's fine. My mom grew up not just in Nevada, but in VEGAS. If Nevada is a trash can, Vegas is the sticky wet garbage that sticks to the bottom of the bin and won't come off.
