There's a guy sitting in my lobby having a conversation with his presumably drunk or very very sleepy daughter. He keeps repeating EVERYTHING he says 3, 4, and 5 times. Why? Why have this conversation in the lobby? It sounds like a fairly private conversation. He's a regular guest. I know for a fact he's in a single room by himself. Why not go up to the room and sit there where he isn't irritating me and everyone else that comes through the lobby? He's been sitting down here calling his family and drinking beer since I came in an hour and a half ago... *growls* I despise people sometime

Nooo! I dislike twilight quite allot. I'm sorry vampires don't sparkle. They aren't made of diamonds. An immortal being that eats bits of people, is indestructible, and sparkles like diamonds is not a vampire... it's a golum... my step mom loves the books and movies. I can't stand either.

I read the books so that I could be more informed when I had a discussion about it with Vella. I don't care some much that the vampires sparkle or whatever. She's allowed to have a different take on a mythology. I don't care. What I HATED was the way it dragged ON and ON and ON about how BEAUTIFUL Edward was. And plot was just secondary to Meyer obsessing over her fictional boyfriend. Here is my abridged summary of the ENTIRE series:

Twilight:
-Edward is beautiful. In the last three chapters, the plot arrives to the party late in a beat-up ford pickup with a bottle of Cuervo.
-Awkward kiss, fade to music.

New Moon:
-"OMG! I can't be with you, Bella! (I'm secretly gay, and I'm just using my bloodlust as an excuse to be dramatic.)" "OMG EDWARD I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT YOU! -jumps off a cliff-" "OH LAWDS! My BEARD! I can't pretend to be straight without my BEARD! -attempts suicide-
-Briefly discusses the Volturi, who would be awesome if they were the focus of the story.
-"OMGEDDWURDILOVESYOU" Awkward kiss, fade to music.

Eclipse:
-Some sort of mystery that I figured out in the beginning.
-Tent scene.
-More on the Volturi, apparently they kick ass.
-"BELLA WILL YOU MARRY ME" "OKAY!" Awkward kiss, fade to music.

Breaking Dawn:
-Wedding.
-Wedding night: "BELLA WANT SNOO SNOO!"
-Bella's mutant baby defies all logic, Carlisle tries to apply logic with genetics (vamps have 25 chrom, humans have 23 chrom, wolves have 24 chrom. The logic he applies is 25 + 23 ÷ 2 = 24, but in the actual world of genetics it goes down like this: 25 + 23 ÷ 2 = 0, because two people of a different species are incompatible and incapable of having a baby. There. I fixed your fucking science, lady.)
-EVERYTHING IS AWESOME BECAUSE BELLA IS AWESOME.
-Then there's supposed to be a big battle that they're building up to and... well in the end there's no battle because Alice comes back with a deus ex machina.
-Awkward kiss, fade to music.

Essentially, in the whole series, nothing happens. They spend more time looking into each other's eyes adoringly than possibly making any social commentary on racism or "love transcending time" or... something of that color. And chicks DIG IT. Seriously... girls MY AGE are fawning over these characters who have no depth.

But I don't need to tell you that, I'm sure. xDD

I'm contemplating pulling a high school stunt and putting my head down on teh table in the back to take a nap... super sleepy. Only I don't have my x here to flick my ear every 10 minutes to keep me from hitting the shut down groggy level of sleep. I do, however, have a phone... hmmmm.... I've never let myself fall asleep at work before. Its just a super slow night... and if I set my alarms for every 5 minutes or so, it couldn't really hurt.... hmmm... urg... moral dilemma... I'm just so tired right now I'm finding it laborious and tedious just to stand here at the desk and type up a simple post.
