That's quite the trec by bike, I'd recommend running it once on a non work day first just to make sure it's worth it. I love yoga. And honestly, the beginning stuff is actually not to hard at all. Once you get into the advanced stuff though is when you really start to feel all the different ways it moves and stretches you. It's my little bit of serenity in the day.
As for kayaking, there was a time where any free day I had with decent weather I was in a boat on the water. I was even supposed to go to junior olympics for kayaking, but I tore my rotator cuff during qualifying rounds (caught my paddle on the gate for a speed run. Wrenched my shoulder back, tour it up pretty good.) |
There is no way in the world I'd run that way. A lot of it is on back roads. LOL... and people in the army tend to drive crazily. I would definitely get smushed that way. Man... yoga just LOOKS hard I guess. I think I'll stick to my muay thai and smashing in people's faces and stuff. LOL... I just look forward to using my knees and elbows in fighting. Hehe... even though my knee is killing me right now Q.Q
Oh, OW! Yeah. That'll take you out of it. :S Aww.. that's too bad that it happened. You could be like an olympic super star. I coulda been watching you on TV cause i love the summer olympics ^^ |
Haha yeah, coulda woulda shoulda I guess :-p
Where are you stationed? |
Coulda woulda shoulda but it's not your fau;t that you didn't, not really. It was an acciden :(
I'm in afghanistan-o right now. Got another month here and then I'm goin home :D :boogie: :eager: |
Yay! That's awesome that you're getting to come home. Home for good or just a while?
|
Home for good, til I change units and get shipped off to Germany. Kinda mixed emotions about that cause I cant take my daughter along, don't know what to expect and since she's in school now, it wouldn't be right to move her around only to have to send her back to grandmother's house if I have to depoly again :S
|
Wow, that must be really hard :-( How old is she? My little girl is 15 months. I can't imagine having to be away from her like that. That has to be really terrible for you to miss her like that :-(
|
My daughter is almost 6. Will be in 19 days. O_O And since I joined teh army I've been nothing but away from her :( Training in basic and AIT, then shipped ot korea for 2 years, got back to the USA to come here for a year, going back to the usa for 7 months and then sent to germany for at least 2 years. But maybe once I find out what's goin on in germany I'll be able to bring her over. I'd have to extend another year but it would definitely be worth it.

I'll bet. You are one heck of a strong women Zephi. Thank you for all that you give, do, and sacrifice to serve your country. I may not always agree with what's going on in the political world, but I will always stand by my belief that our troops and vets alike can never be thanked enough for what they do. I'll be hoping for your safe service and happy return home and keeping you in my thoughts :-)

Swan, in case you didn't notice my response to when you popped in earlier (uhh... yesterday, in fact) I had work last night, so... no such luck on the steady RP session. On the bright side, I don't work tonight. Basically, my schedule for the next few weeks is: work three nights, one day off; work one night, two days off.
Unfortunately for me, though, they didn't grant my request to have my anniversary off... the cretins. -shakes fist at- But if that's going to be the case, then that just means that I'm going to propose as soon as I get the ring. -determined face- In other news, my parents are the best parents ever. With most families, when one of their children comes out of the closet there is an uneasy silence for awhile. With my family, I came out of the closet and my dad pays my rent for a year so I can save up for a place where me and my partner can live together alone. |
Yay! Hyena, no more rent problems :) Thats good news.
Swanie, thank you :) I had also poofed, chow time and all... but thank you :) Means a lot to me. |
Oh hyena that's so awesome that your folks are being uber supportive like that! Ubfortunately , I am now off tonight :-P just my luck. But I'll do my best to keep bopping back into here via phone. I'm sorry to hear they didn't give you your aniversary off :-( rotten walmart. I do hope everything goes wonderfully with your proposal :-D
|
That sounds about like my luck, too. xDD
We're seeing if I can swap work with Angie because she's like... OMGDOITDOITDOITDOIT! -wanders off to post-y post- |

|
