Yet more proof that a lot of religions don't like people who think different. Hyena, I got this feeling that you'd like UUs (unitarian universalists). I'm not trying to advertise them or anything, but to be honest they touch on a lot of interesting topics that a lot of other religions say "NO!! WE CANNOT TALK ABOUT THEM BECAUSE WE'LL HAVE PEOPLE USING THEIR BRAINS!!!". Okay, that's probably an exaggeration, but that's basically what it is.

Let's see, in my church we've had speakers who are Jewish, Wiccan, I think someone brought a friend of his from college who was Muslim, literally no one in there has a problem with same-sex marriges--hell, I think a bunch of them say it should be federal law that it should be legal. And mind you, this is a UU church in a small town. A small town that's got Catholics and Luthrans and Prodestants up the ass. And here's this little group of UUs, and only half of them are under 40. We've got a lot of over-60ers in there.

Wow. I just got around to reading that forum Hyena. Just wow. I am glad that Royal Knight or whatever her name was got systematically and intelligently shut down several times over.

There's a UU church in town that all my pagan friends go to. Honestly, its not for me. I'm not a person of communal worship. I feel that my conversations with the universe/god are personal and unique to each and the request for an intermediary is based on an anthropological need to have someone in control of something bigger than them. I appreciate what they do, but its not my cup of tea.

@ Hyena: To each their own, that's the way I see it. And I agree with your stance; people shouldn't be denied rights because they happen to love differently than anyone else.
