-floats in shimmies around-

BlackSwan317 04-11-2011 09:30 PM

Hello Ikuto! Happy shimmying ^_^

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 04-11-2011 11:51 PM

!! =3

-shimmies into all the nooks and crannies of the thread-

Hyena 04-11-2011 11:52 PM

Oh my. I hope not EVERY nook and cranny.

That's a bit personal. ^^

BlackSwan317 04-12-2011 12:14 AM

Haha perhaps it will spice things up a bit though. I never mind watching someone shimmy about all over everything and everyone. Makes me feel like I'm working at the Buttabing again ^_^

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 04-12-2011 12:19 AM

-gets into Hyena's nooks- o 3o!!

-leaves a greenish goo-

Hyena 04-12-2011 12:37 AM

O_O

... this will be difficult to explain to my fiancée.

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 04-12-2011 12:49 AM

:O!

-makes goo dissipate into a white smoke-

:D?

Hyena 04-12-2011 12:53 AM

o_o

I find this acceptable. =D

Though, I imagine this conversation:
"honey, why are your crevices covered in green goo?"
"...because... I... love you?"

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 04-12-2011 12:54 AM

Sounds good to me!

Congrats by the way. I remember seeing your post about being nervous about asking. (I'm pretty sure that was you...)

Hyena 04-12-2011 12:57 AM

If it was in February/January, then that was probably me. xD

We're doing a long-term engagement, though. Its a little hard to just 'get married' in my situation. >_>

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 04-12-2011 01:03 AM

Ah. Is it more of a until-we-can engagement?

Hyena 04-12-2011 01:07 AM

It was essentially a promise ring rather than an engagement ring. She has very specific tastes in her jewelry and I didn't want to put a lot of money into something that I wasn't sure that she would like. So I proposed with a ring pop. Right now we don't have the money to afford a real ring, and we can't legally get married in this state. So we're going to wait until we can afford to travel out of here, afford a proper ring, and get settled somewhere nice for awhile. We're hoping all that will happen in the span of the next three years or so. Then we're probably going to have our ceremony in Canada and just let life take us from there.

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 04-12-2011 01:21 AM

Ah. Ring Pop. Very nice.
Seems like a good enough plan. I hope things work out well for you both. :D

Hyena 04-12-2011 01:24 AM

I should hope so. ._.

People say that things change when you take that step, but we've been living together for five years now and the only consistent pet peeves seem to be our various anxieties, which we're trying to take steps to fix anyway.

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 04-12-2011 01:30 AM

It does and doesn't change things. Some people take marriage as a form of ownership; so you see "a lot" of those kinds of people that were fine beforehand, but then "suddenly" not so much.
But I think those cases aren't really that common and you know your partner better than anyone else should aside from herself.
I think maybe it's just that things have more potential to change because of it. -shrug- But eh!
Things will go as they go~

Hyena 04-12-2011 01:57 AM

I know two things:

1. I don't see any ownership over her and she seems to value my opinion as much as her own.

2. I love her.

So. I think we'll do just fine. And if we don't, I certainly don't see any point in severing ties completely. We're both mature adults. Life moves on. ^^

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 04-12-2011 02:02 AM

Yeah. Like I said, I don't think it's really a common thing like those tv shows and such portray.
I'm sure you guys will be fine. :)
And yeah, if not... c'est la vie~

Hyena 04-12-2011 02:11 AM

Oui oui. Ce qui ne tue pas rend plus fort.

All the guys at work seem to think that life changes after someone makes that step, so it kept sitting in the back of my mind when I was thinking about proposing. But whatevs. xD

BlackSwan317 04-12-2011 02:11 AM

I think you'll do fine too ^_^

But I've said that before

Nothing ever changed for my husband and I. He kept chasing skirt and I kept ignoring it just like when we were dating. Mariage doesn't change you, if it fits it fits, if it doesn't, it never will. BUT you guys seem like it will be a smart fit for you :-) So I'm not worried. I think you'll come out fine and dandy

So I came into work an hour early to help with a tour bus that was to show up at 10:15. They called 5 minutes ago and said they won't be here till after 1 O_o *twitch*

We passed our inspection though! WOOO!

Hyena 04-12-2011 02:14 AM

I'm only worried in the sense that I always worry. xD

-twitch- Well... at least you'll... be paid that extra hour? Maybe. >_>

Yay! Your hotel will live another year.

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 04-12-2011 02:19 AM

@Swan: Dang, that's kind of lame...
Congrats on passing inspection though. Woo!

@Hye: Ah. Maybe things changed for them. -shrug-
But yes, enough of this worry!

BlackSwan317 04-12-2011 02:22 AM

Well, 6 months at least, we get checked bi-annually. And the places we got docked were all places that the owners were trying to avoid fixing so maybe this will spur them to finally do it, and we'll be ok next time ^_^

And no, I'm not getting paid for it, but at least I get an hour to sit here in peace on my laptop with the internet. Not really any to terrible. Shey was in bed before 9 so it's not like I really missed anything accept for the last 15 minutes of the being human ep that I Was watching by coming it.
