Oh, that's cool!! My mum can play the piano with just hearing a song once. She's just amazing like that. I can sing, no formal training or any of that, but I've been told that I sing pretty well, even though I don't sing much in front of people. My fiancee only recently heard me sing and we've known each other for over four years.

Awww :-) You should sing more! The more you do it, the more confident you get, and when confidence increases in one field, it increases in all areas. See now I wish I lived closer so we could actually hang out, because I'd so just randomly start to gently push you out of your comfort zone and help you show the world how amazing of a person you really are. I dunno, just a vibe I get from talking to you tells me that you are truly an incredible person, but you're a little shy, so you rarely let many people see just how awesome and fun loving you can be :-)

On a side note, I think I've just made a major life decision. I started thinking about this a while back, and honestly it was something I wanted to do since jr high, but my family talked me out of it so I kinda let it go and applied to the college they wanted me to, then thought about it again after that didn't work, and almost joined the military just to be able to study it, but once again, my family shot me down. I'm finally at a point in my life where they don't affect myself or my decisions any more, and after talking to you briefly about it tonight, and Steve a little last night, i finally looked into it again. Now, I will need to think on it some more, but I'm feeling really good about this and may have found a viable option for my life and what I want. I really think I'm going to try to enroll in the university of phoenix's online b.a. for psychology. I could do it completely from home/work, and still have all the time I need for my baby :-)

Oh, I've been trying to push myself, and I'm considering taking a Choir class. But we'll see about that. Oh, I am quite shy, but I've started getting better at getting out of my comfort zone more and more since I met Lovey all those years ago. <3 He's been huge in getting me better at opening up and not being afraid to sing/do things that I wouldn't normally do. (drama... etc.). I just need to convince myself that I don't care what others think, as long as I have fun, that's all that matters.
I let go this past December at a party I went to with my folks (with friends of the family) and just started singing along with songs, and everyone, most of them have known me for ages (since I was a wee baby) and they were looking at me like "Hope! You can sing!" O.o and I was like "Well, mum sings and Dad sings, my brother even sings, so why wouldn't I sing?" :P

Oh daddy sang bass, momma sang tenor, and me an lil brother we both joined in! Sorry, lol, old country song my pap used to listen to/sing to all the time, just came to mind

That's awesome though. I highly recommend joining choir if you can. I did it all through high school, and I gotta say there is just something that moves in your soul the firs time you get up in front of a crowd and do your first group performance. just finally hearing all the different parts of the music come together, the harmony of all the different voices. It's chilling in the most amazing and wonderful way. It truly is Awesome. I don't mean awesome in the "hey that's cool way" but in the true meaning of the word, of being filled with awe and wonder at it.

And I'm going to have to get myself into it more - to convince myself that it won't be making a fool of myself. But I know I could do it. Part of me wants to start playing the piano again as well. I love singing with my parents. <3

Well, just do it! I know that sounds silly, but the best way to get yourself to do somethign is to stop thinking, and go sign up. Like seriously tomorrow just go to wherever it is that you sign up for stuff and do it up!

I have to wait for May 2nd to sign up for classes but I do need to take an elective so hopefully I can take it and it will transfer over when I transfer colleges. ^-^

Same here! that's why I know that just forcing yourself to do things sometimes is the best thing. Not that I'm saying this is a great source of advice, or that you should do what is done in this movie and blindly say yes to everything, but I'd reference the Jim Carry movie Yes Man. While it is extremely far fetched and fictitious, it's not totally wrong. Good things usually do happen when you open yourself up positively to the experiences life throws at you. :-) Whatever you end up doing though, I wish you luck in it, and I hope you'll be able to sing confidently anytime, in front of anyone someday

Yeah, for me, I know how that is, with reaching out and doing things that one in uncomfortable with. Actually my first talking to Loveh when I first met him, that for me was reaching out and being uncomfortable. As I didn't normally randomly go up to people and introduce myself, but it was worth it. :P :hug:

I've just got back from college. Yeah..just! I've been there for nearly 9 hours and im still no closer to catching up, infact, i was FORCED to start assignments AFTER the ones i'm still working on...so my mind's doing a warp at the moment xD

One of them was to do a roleplay of a customer service situation, then evaluate myself. So me and a class mate pretended we were looking for a mobile phone xD (cell phone)

We still have to do a roleplay for on the phone communication though D=

One of my tutors is STILL stuck in South Africa, and 2 of my other classmates decided to go to Germany for the day, THE DAY the ash cloud decides to stop everything..so they were stuck out there for a week ahaha, made me laugh, bt i was secretly jelous :(

Anyway i hope everybody is doin well. And good to hear Swan is planning an honours! Open University is a great plan, i would happily consider that if jim decided he wanted kids earlier than planned xDD

Hey there! Yeah, I'm super shy around boys, but in a way, it was good that we had such a long period just to be friends as it did help. <3 I was so nervous when I did tell him.

I walked in last night around three am, just because I totally lost track of time, and quietly, but not quietly enough apparently, as she always wakes up (SHE'S A REALLY REALLY REALLY LIGHT SLEEPER) wakes up and bitches to me, because I'm having to dig through my purse to find my inhaler after I had gotten myself settled in bed with my blankets and such, because I couldn't breathe right. About "why can't you go to bed earlier?" It's not my fricken fault I can't sleep when she goes to bed! I have horrible insomnia, and for once, actually, I actually lost track of time. And then she bitches to me about how I need to turn my music down when I'm listening to it on my iPod... WITH HEADPHONES! :gonk: She just pisses me off at times /MiniRant

Hey there. Yeah - 2 years. We met basically in the first week of 10th grade, and didn't start dating till around half way through our 12th grade year (it was October 15th, 2006 if I'm remembering correctly...) But most our mates thought that we were dating about a year previous that as we were always together, and cuddling, but he was just my best friend, still is.

I play my metal loud ONLY when im COOKING FOR EVERYBODY, and i get bitched at for the rest of the night....i make dinner at like 6.30...how is that too late??

I could tell you a few tales about the guy Jim picked to be his roomate this past year.

Lucky for the guy, he ran off back to his dads before Jim could get his hands on him. Cause I fear Jim would have struggled to hold himself back xD

And to think, Jim was planning on helping the guy out when i moved down too. I would NOT have liked sharing a house with a Junkie and a theif like that =/
