Yeah, they can be a badge of honour for sure (for the one who commissioned it, I mean. It's great for the artisits, too.)
|
Oh I've always been amazed by tattoo artists. I mean, it's really one of the few arts that there is just no room to screw up.
Although, on that note, I have a friend who got 'sensei' tattooed on his arm in kanji (after he got his shodan blackbelt), but it turned out the artist mirrored it so now it's backwards on his arm. Oops! And Pft. The idea of the cool as hell grandma with ink is hilarious. I almost can't wait for this generation to be grandmas just so I can see that. |
Oh man, those ones that use a foreign alphabet can be a mine field. I've heard more horror stories about those than any other kind. But you know, there is nearly as much room for error even if you are using the alphabet that was learned as a child, I would imagine. Be sure to get a literate tattoo artist, folks.
|
Oh man it'd be even worse in English, I think. At least while in an English speaking country. Can you imagine getting a name or something tattooed and then it was spelled wrong and everyone could read it? That'd be horrible. At least Ev (my friend) isn't going to Japan where everyone can read it.

I've thrown down almost another paragraph. I am proud of myself, especially since I've been drinking tonight
|
I think it's time I rescued this. Going to a theme park tomorrow! Should be lots of fun.
|
I've been adjusting my writing so it doesn't go on for too long. Should be done within a week or so. I've just been busy with our new dog.
|
Which theme park, Pearl? Goodness, I haven't been to one of those in a good long while. But I suppose they were never my scene, really.
|
@Pearl: I hope you have fun Pearl!
@Vix: Is your dog a puppy? I miss having a dog. And I hope we get to see your story soon! |
sdfasdgasdfs I am SO bored right now you guys @[email protected]
|
@Nolori: No, he's a four year old Golden Retriever who spent his entire life in a kennel. He was supposed to be used for breeding. This is the first house he's ever been in and the first real contact he's ever had with people. He's quickly becoming attached to me though. I spend a lot of time laying on the floor with him and petting him to make sure we bond well. He's starting to get used to walking around on a leash but if I go outside while my mom's walking him, he ignores her and starts following me around instead  He's adorable. His name is Tucker but we'll change that in the future.
|
HAI everyone. :3 How's it goin'?
|
@Tobias: Then let's talk abooooooooout, uhm, ZOMBIES!
I was playing RE5 for the first time at a friends house the other day. It is amazingly fun. Teleporting Wesker makes EVERYTHING BETTER FOREVER. @Vix: D'aw, that's so cute! I wish you luck with the renaming though. I've never had much luck with it. @Emi: Heylo! Pretty good. You? |
Nolori- I'm alright. haha I like your avi. :3
|
@Emi: Thank you! I've basically had the same one since I joined, so I thought it was time to change it up.
|
Time is running out to write those zombie stories!
I'm visiting a friend in Scotland on Thursday, she's working there so I haven't seen her in months. I really want to see her... but it's like, Scotland - really? Dx It's way colder than London. When it's summer here, it's spring there. |
I always heard Scotland was beautiful. I am jealous you get to go! But, geeze it's colder than England there? I think I might freeze to death. I like the desert where it's hot. xD
|
I've always heard that Scotland is cold and grey and full of knives and sheep and hills and overweight people and booze.
Apart from Edinburgh. Edinburgh is nice. Well, it depends which part of England and which part of Scotland silly. I know we all seem like specks of dust to you, but from my home in the south of England to Perth is nearly 500 miles. If I was going from Durham to Edinburgh though, the temperature difference would be marginal. |
I've heard all of that, except knives?
I have an aunt from southern England who came to visit recently and she actually told me the temperature really wasn't that big. Soooo, I guess I can't say that in good faith, but oh well. Even the pictures look cold! She said it was nice that it didn't rain all the time here, though. Though she said the same about Suffix(sp?) when she moved there from Ireland. |
Suffix? Did you mean Sussex?
|
Maaaaaaybe.
Yeah I don't really know for sure. My mom pronounced it Suffix and I had to ask her. Sussex sounds far more right though. Is that in the south? |
Yeah, I'm close to it. It's a county.
You know it's in the south because of the name. Suss-ex. It's old Saxon or Angle I think. Just like Essex is in the east, and Wessex (no longer exists) was in the west. |
Oh, that's neat. I'm not really sure why I didn't put that together. Was Wessex broken up into smaller counties or does it just have a different name now?
|
Sussex is so pretty. Your aunt is luck to live there. You wouldn't happen to know where abouts in Sussex she lived, would you? (spent much of my time in England in Sussex)
Was Wessex swallowed up by London? I know that now there is a county that is pretty much exclusively London which is made up of what were parts of surrounding counties. Did that happen in the 70s? God, I can't remember... Lol at Scotland being full of knives. You sound like Doctor Rick Daglass M.D. |
Slowly continuing work on my entry. Been so busy with the dog that I haven't had much time to write much more than a paragraph every few nights.
