Those are really cute.

I know. I need me some slippers! I can't make them thoguh til I am done with the blanket I am making. Sigh.

Maiden of Unicorns 04-16-2010 03:45 AM

At least you are making something. I'm still trying to finish my cross stitching piece so I can get some sewing done and work on my plastic canvas project.

Rhumbullion 04-16-2010 03:47 AM

Cross stitching hurts my eyes! What are you making?

Maiden of Unicorns 04-16-2010 03:57 AM

A japanese fan. It's shaped like a fan and has geishas, a water bridge on it too. Really big but pretty.

Rhumbullion 04-16-2010 04:14 AM

Definitely pics when you finish!

Maiden of Unicorns 04-16-2010 04:15 AM

Sure ^^

Rhumbullion 04-16-2010 04:22 AM

Think I'ma shower and then work on my blanket. I really want to get started on something new.

Maiden of Unicorns 04-16-2010 04:45 AM

Hehe I know what you mean.

Mama Juru 04-16-2010 07:08 PM

I am currently working on my tablecloth, a baby blanket, and another blanket I just started simply because the yarn was staring at me and mocking me, lol.

My mother used to do plastic canvas stuff for my daughter but she wasn't appreciative when she was young so a lot of pretty things got ruined. My mother recently (within the last year or so) made her a white box with some red on it and some beads. Now that my daughter is 16, she appreciates it so much more and uses it for her art supplies.

I've tried cross stitch and have completed a few things but I get bored really quickly which is why I have several things going on at once and the cross stitch always seems to get shoved off to the side.

Do you all have any weekend plans?

Maiden of Unicorns 04-16-2010 07:12 PM

Praying the money I am to get for selling a butt load on amazon comes in and going shopping and craft shopping too. ^_^

Kimy, look up the Knit Witch on YouTube.com. Very informative.

Well here is what the piece I made looks like and I am almost done with my second cross stitch piece. Plus I started to work on some plastic canvas items and I already planned out what to cross stitch next. It will be a woodland traditional St. Nick christmas tree skirt. I think it would be nice to finally have a tree skirt, you know the first one if quite a few years.

Oh my god. That is gorgeous! I applaud you!

Maiden of Unicorns 05-24-2010 03:15 PM

Thank you so very much ^_^

I had some pics of a hat I made all by myself. I got rid of them. it was the same style as the green one only in black with the daisy stitch.

Keyori 05-28-2010 01:23 AM

That fan is gorgeous!

My grandmother used to cross stitch. Not so much anymore though.

I have no idea how to knit, but I hear it tends to be faster than crochet.

I've crocheted a few things, but I've only finished one xD

I made a hat for my fiance. He loves to wear beanies, but he has long hair and he hates wearing a beanie over his ponytail.

So I made him a beanie with a ponytail hole

He thought it was dorky at first, but now he really loves it and he shows it off to people.

I'm trying to make a new one for him, since that one has a bunch of gaps in it (it's the nature of the pattern I used) and is a bit too big for him. He needs something to keep the wind out.

In the mean time, I have a quilt made out of scrap denim waiting to be finished. I don't have a quilting machine, so I'm doing tying by stitching buttons onto every square... that's 144 buttons x_x

I haven't worked on it in over a year though. But it was so warm, even unfinished! One day maybe I'll get it done...
