Yeah, I just got on here yesterday too. I'm so glad I got this name in '08 though. Now that I'm here, even this late into the game, I still have my traditional name.

Edit: And Venus, I'm kind of from Gaia. I quit Gaia a while ago and have been on Kinsaki, but I just got too sick of the owner being a dick and joined the exodus out of there.

I hear Gaia's gone even more downhill. Is that true?
As to Kinsaki, it's been on the major decline for months. I'd have left earlier, but I liked my position too much to ditch until the last minute. But just, I can't handle a site that I know is going nowhere.

Yes, I think Gaia is going downhill. Things are just some what crazy right now and there is a lot of tension.

Gold hungry? They're just plain greedy. Might as well attach a vacuum to their trade accounts and aim it at most gaians.

Money hungry is right, at least in my opinion. There are ads everywhere and things have become so commercial. You name it and people are tense about it. xD There are so many things right now that people are not happy with. One thing many people have a problem with is the site becoming so commercial. Gaia seems to sell out very easily these days.

I think most sites that get huge are apt to sell out. It's just easy money, you know? I mean, if I could get easy money I'd love it. Not to mention big sites require a lot of money to run. Oh well, I like small stuff in any case. Even Mene is a little big compared to what I'm used to.

Really? I think it's a great downsize to gaia, and it's a little more personal.

Part of what I do on Gaia is to help those who feel overwhelmed and those with strong issues and opinions. The changes are affecting people, I see it every day. Greed has indeed made it hard for people to stay. They want things, and forget what the site is truly for, making friends and chatting, playing games and having fun.

Exactly. It's a SOCIAL community. Not a MARKET DRIVEN community. But I think a lot of that was a problem when the Gaia Cash Shop went as mainstream as it is now. Now it's all about who has the best EI or who has the best avatar or the most gold etc...

Mene is definitely a tighter downstep from Gaia, but you gotta know I'm used to Kinsaki where I'm a quarter of the active users and a third of the posts. xD

Meepu, I just locked the thread in question for now until people cool off. We now have "defend such and such" fest starting. I don't want to see the thread turn into a war zone or free for all.

Meepu, it's not a very big site and it never was. It was going well, but it had a big server crash, then the owners changed a couple times... Now it's just sort of a scuttled ship.

I think a paysite is a bad idea. It would alienate too many customers. The best business is just keep making more and more of it kind of pay, like more and more items. Eventually they'll release like, Gaia Beta or Gaia Premium, which would be a payable option. xD
