Well, yes. Correct. I was trying very hard to be open-minded.

PhoenixIllusion 06-21-2010 04:09 PM

No presents? Great.

I DIDN'T GET ANY BECAUSE MY MOM DECIDED TO HOLD THEM HOSTAGE AND HAVE MY BIRTHDAY PARTY WITHOUT ME.

Ah well, enough whining...

Wow, 44? I thought it would have been a 40. Then again, I grade on style as well.

BUT I WANNA SEE YOUR 6 PAGE LONG RUBRIC!

Just put it in a spoiler tag.

And Cerabellatus- Yeah... When did Jacob and his brothers think they're sexy? Please refresh my memory. And just because the actor looks evil doesn't mean you can hate the character. -_-

Gah, I want to know how in the fecking world Twilight got so freakishly popular. I remember at the begining of 8th grade when it wasn't popular there was a girl in my class reading it and recomeneded it to me. At first it was okay the mushy mushy stuff is not my cup of tea but whatever, then when I found out he sparkled it was mind blowing. I mean sure everyone likes to put twists on our favorite fairytales and classics, but a sparkling vampire was streching it the band till it poped and you can't find the pieces no more. Though I finished the first book, I mean I read this much so I'd be doing myself wrong cause if I didn't finish it I wouldn't be able to tell the lovers of Twilight why. Because explaining your opinion keeps you from getting killed, for the most part. I had got bored halfway through the first book and I was having a conversation with the chick who recomemded it to me and she some how got me to read the second one too. Something about not being interested in the begining either but it gets better. I never finished the second book. I got so freaking bored and frustrated with it. And y'know whats the most annoying thing is. A year later in my freshmen year of highschool nearly every girl started squeeing about it. Nearly all of my friends have gone with the hype. Then again I shouldn't be surprised, they went with the Naruto hype when that horrible dub aired. But some of my more sane not crazy more studious friends suprised me with they're apparent love for the sparklies. I try to see it from their point of view but no freaking avail, I can never bring myself to even like it. In 8th grade there was an end of the year party for seeing us off to highschool, there was a raffle for a whole bunch of awsome stuff, but what d'ya know. Luck apparently was ticked off at for some reason and while the person before me got a 100 dollar gift card I got a stupid new Twilight dvd wraped in plastice like it was just bought from the store. It's still not opened yet, 2 years of it sitting their and I'm never gonna open it.

Here's something that makes me want to punch people:

"Cullenism" > The belief that the Cullens (also including Isabella Swan, Jacob Black, and all other characters) are indeed real, and they deserve to be worshiped. They believe that the author of the successful series is a prophet, and that the books are a series of holy books.

It's real, unfortunately, not a scam. That's...just...pathetic.

Sylanc 08-08-2010 04:21 AM

I knew some where some place they worshiped books and such but I always figured the worshipers knew whomever they worshiped weren't real. Thinking Meyers' writing as holy and prophetic is just a whole new level of crazy. O.o

Mariann 08-08-2010 04:23 AM

Yes, indeed...

Sylanc 08-08-2010 04:27 AM

So how many people do you know are fangirling over Twilight. Most of mah buddies have sucumbed to the hype, my cousins on the other hand are on our side all the way.

Mariann 08-08-2010 04:36 AM

I know about four people personally, I think. One girl said something I rather like, though - "I don't like Twilight any more...I grew up."

Sylanc 08-08-2010 05:02 AM

That is inspiring and something I wish my friends would say. Every time we talk about books it's never really deep, just mushy mushy romance. Though I really shouldn't expect much we all are still 15 and 16. I yet to go through the die hard shallowish romance fanatic phase that my friends are going through. Or is it no a phase?

Mariann 08-08-2010 05:22 AM

I dunno. When I was thirteen I went through this phase for maybe six months where I thought every man and woman I saw together might be dating, but that ended fairly quickly, and I didn't have that same need for romance Twitards seem to have.

Sylanc 08-08-2010 05:40 AM

I don't get how people gush over romantic stuff I get a general gist, but is it really that important that they must be all "omigods that's just sooooooooooooooooo rooooomaaaaaaaaannntiiiiiiiiiiic" and "I wish they were real". I get the second part but the omg spamming they do when reading romances right next to me just plain confuses me.

Mariann 08-08-2010 05:48 AM

Yeah...Why not just get a boyfriend and be happy with that? Some people have complained (no joke) about being ditched because their girlfriends loved Edward more.

Sylanc 08-08-2010 05:53 AM

Yeah, I'm working on that. I've been trying to drill it into their heads that almost no guy is like that, but noooo they just have to keep on gushing.

Mariann 08-08-2010 06:11 AM

A girl my friend knows said she would let someone stalk them if they looked like Edward...*pukes*

Sylanc 08-08-2010 06:17 AM

O.o ..... Some send that girl to a psychiatrist.....

Mariann 08-08-2010 06:27 AM

Screw that...lock her up and throw away the key.

Sylanc 08-08-2010 06:34 AM

And stick all the others wanting edwardlike stalkers with her to!

Mariann 08-08-2010 06:55 AM

Exactly! Hopefully (but unlikely) they'll crazy themselves out.

Sylanc 08-08-2010 07:12 AM

If only we could do that and there probably isn't enough space to keep them all.

Kiako 08-08-2010 07:28 AM

I feel at home here *snuggles thread*

RainbowMuffinage 08-15-2010 07:31 AM

To be honest, I'm not all that sure if I like or dislike the Twilight Saga. I actually quite enjoyed reading the books, though that may have been because I wanted to find out if Bella was going to do something I expected her to do or not. Okay, so most of the time, she didn't. But hey. It passed the last six months of my life pretty well.

But what I REALLY hate is how, since the movie came out, so many teenage girls have started obsessing over it at an extreme level. They started labelling themselves as "HARDCORE TWIFANS" after only watching the first movie. And it gets worse. It actually pains me to say this, but there are people that I know who CANNOT have a conversation with another human being without mentioning Twilight in some way or form.

I rest my case. >.<"

Mariann 08-16-2010 02:02 AM

That sucks. Really.

I knew one girl (18 years old) who put in her MSN message when Eclipse came out, "In a few days I'll be reunited with Jacob". ...Shut up. He's not your boyfriend. He's not even real <.<

Demonic.Angel 08-16-2010 03:22 PM

Loveing this hangout!
I liked the books at first, i found that when bella was turned into a vampire it ruined the rest of the book. And than the movies took it to hell, and the fans just piss me off. But I must admit, Taylor Lautner is hawt, lmao but id never want to get with him, I think crushing on celebs is a total waste of time, and compleatly stupid when you have a boyfriend :D. And I Cant wait to see Vampires Suck, its gonna be amazing!

Whisper Invictus 08-16-2010 06:18 PM

ohmygosh cant wait for that movie to come out :XD it looks hilarious<3

Demonic.Angel 08-16-2010 06:58 PM

I knoww!
I love how jacob is like "its either me or him" "..." "CATTTT!" lmao xD
