He linked me, actually. He said he thought it was disturbing but that he thought I'd like it.

I haven't seen much in the way of new things I want yet. Some of the things I really like don't come in a color I like. I sort of understand your pain.

I'm just not the creative genius I would like to be when it comes to clothing so I'm always disappointed in the outfits I come up with. I'm not good with layering or seeing how things could mesh together better in my head. Y'know?

Well, I'm not particularly savvy when it comes to clothing or layering it for that matter. I'm lucky I can pull off the T-shirt over a long sleeved shirt thing IRL. That being said, I'm lucky to find clothes that fit the way I like at all. *sigh*

My main problem is I can't decide on a style of clothes that is uniquely mine. It's hard to find things that say "this is me". It probably doesn't help that I'm extra picky and won't wear some things because I don't like how they feel or move.

How do you have your inventory on Menewsha arranged? The only distinction between items in mine is all shop items in the main inventory and EIs/CIs in a drawer. Oh, and doubles get their own drawer.

My inventory isn't organized at all. Everything I own you see on my avatar. I don't have extras. Plus I spent 100 g on Archie earlier and sent him some shoes. Not that he probably cares or whatever, but I figured it couldn't hurt to be nice.

IRL I would like to learn to create my own Victorian style clothes. That's probably the only way I'll find anything of that style that will fit properly. We really ought to stop encouraging purging and unrealistic standards of beauty.

As long as I can get a couple parasols out of the deal, we can totally do Victorian some time, although I don't think there will be dresses of that nature in my future. Now, if we can find patterns for Edwardian stuff, THEN I'm interested in all that work.

Well, I see no harm in not wearing certain items of clothing based on how they move or feel. I do the same thing and I'm not about to stop. :XD Being comfortable is far more important to me than anything else.
That's a cultural issue, Dahlia, and it's going to take a lot of effort to make it go away. The best I can think of doing is being happy with yourself and showing others "health and happiness at every size." That's one of the concepts of the fat movement.
Crap, phone.

They were pretty nice patterns. I think at some point we both may attempt a couple of pieces and see what happens. The pessimist in me senses great fail...though I don't necessarily agree.

You should start with easy patterns - like skirts for Roses until you two get the hang of sewing.

I think that simple skirts are a good starting point and we can work up to Victorian/Edwardian stuff. We can learn by making everyday stuff to wear.

Apparently not. Slackers. *nose wrinkle*
What do you think of starting another RP just between us to give us something to do between their posts and ours? Something with a new set of characters. Maybe a different V:tM setting?
