I think either way that's a deliciously messed up idea. We could all have a lot of fun with this very special dysfunction. I, of course, volunteer to be the "parent". Although, perhaps I could play a different part. We'll see what happens.

I knew you would. You don't necessarily have to be involved like that. I'm sure once we figure out the sire and who the child is/was we can maybe work another character into the story? I mean I think SL might want to be involved. I dunno whether CZ would but I'm sure we could all work something out.

I think we could have perhaps jealous siblings? Perhaps curious "neighbor" vampires? I think establishing an age for the child both before and after Embrace will be helpful, as well as the gender of the parent. Also, it might be important to figure out how they're keeping this childe so well hidden.

Well, obviously daughter monster isn't supposed to exist. So Parent monster is obviously either lying about/concealing her nature(though I don't know how well that could be done) true nature or otherwise in a situation where the child monster hasn't been discovered by the local Prince...or has she? Hmm...
Also, I think a point of conflict would be that the childe could be old enough that she's starting to want freedoms that other Kindred have but that would gravely endanger her life. Something like that. |
In the Anarch Free State there are no Princes and the Kindred there aren't going to care much about breeches of the Traditions. So as long as you didn't flaunt her existence you shouldn't have any War Parties breaking down your door. It's more a matter of keeping an eye on her and protecting her and not so much of confining her.
There are merits you can take to disguise the fact that she's a Kindred. Blush of Health and Bright Aura come to mind. |
Ok. So now we know how Mother Beast is misdirecting everyone from her little Daughter Beast. So...the conflict could be...that the childe wants to go live her own life, maybe she's been around long enough to have matured mentally? I know that it was mentioned to me previously that the person stays and rises exactly as they were when Embraced. So...I'm not sure if what I just propsoed there is feasible. Maybe she's just a rebellious child?

Claudia matured mentally but never aged and she grew unhappy because she wanted an adult body to match her adult mind. She was tired of playing the child. So, yes, your Daughter Beast could mature mentally but would never age physically.

So, maybe Daughter now has the mind of a 14-16 year old(from being embraced at like 7 or 8) and she's doing that whole thing where she wants to be treated like an older, more responsible child, not coddled etc. You know, that whole rebellious anti social thing teenagers are supposed to do. |
She could very well have many of the same issues as Claudia. She could begin to resent her sire for Embracing her as a child. She wants to grow, to go through puberty, to look like a woman. Another possibility is that, having Embraced her so she would have an eternal child, the sire still treats her like a child. That would certainly begin to chafe at me after a few decades.

Hm... clan would determine why they were Embraced, I suppose. We would definitely need to write out the events leading up to the Embrace.

Indeed. This story isn't really quite how I imagined it would play out. I expected it to be a moving story about some (freakishly) close siblings trying to find their way in a strange, new world. I did not, however, expect a story of a couple powerful kindred unwittingly granting asylum to a sociopathic serial killer and his human puppy.
