Okay, then I can venture into that. No guarantees I'll finish it, I'm generally not a huge fan of series that span a lot of books, but we'll see how I do with it!

Mehra- With a few rare exceptions, I stick with books for at least the first hundred pages to half the book if they start out rough, no worries. :lol:

Alrighty- because I know the begining turned me off a bit (Although it is full of smexy dark-elves, so XD )

It was boring- I don't like boring. XD But that was only the first ten pages- then they introduced Zaknafein and I melted. :D

Boring how? c: I often find things that other people find boring interesting!

Family A stages a war on Family B, and most of it is planning and such for said war. It's rather gory, really, but it helps you learn of the main character's birth and his father. owo

Oh, so politics and strategy and character exposition? Things I like. :drool:

I like the character exposistion, but I get enough politics at home as it is (Republican living in a Democratic state with a governor I despise, and I'm not gonna mention the president, etc.)

I love politics where the authors have built the countries, but real life American politics drive me batshit. :gonk: I try to follow them, and I usually just get mad. I'm a democrat (living in a Republican state in a particularly close-minded area) but I'm pretty moderate on most issues (with a few exceptions), and it drives me INSANE how EVERY decision EVER has to be 100% okay with the far right or 100% okay with the far left and there is no such thing as COMPROMISE or BIPARTISANSHIP or MODERATE. The government just really needs to get back to the people and their opinions. Because most people are moderate and don't agree with the far right or left, even if they identify with that party.
...So the AP government class I'm taking this year might actually land me in a little padded room, but who knows? :roll:

Mmm, I don't think people as a whole are stupid. Many are, certainly, but I feel like that's a minority. A minority that gets more media attention, which is a shame. :lol: I think a lot of the people in charge are people who are blinded by power and money, and I think that makes them look stupid when they make decisions driven by said power and money, and then that makes everyone they represent look stupid by association.

You're completely right. If someone in the lead is an idiot, it makes it seem like said leader was the smartest among our race/country/state/city, which makes us all look like grade-A-brainlessers. Or at least that's how I see it.

I especially hate when they say dumb things. Not so much wording things the incorrect way, because we all do that, but saying things that are legitimately and completely ignorant and stupid. Or when they sound like closed-minded bigots. Because that always goes over well with other countries. :sarcasm:

Agreed. Most definetley agreed. I'm not going to pose my own argument, like about the president, because I'm never gonna stop. And I suggest we stop talking about politics alltogether because you seem like you're gonna implode. >.<;;

I can usually handle political conversations until people start talking about politicians directly. Then I get a little fussy.
