Er, no, it's rather frustrating for us film music scholars trying to trace other composers. And often young composers get no credit whatsoever working for him.

:offtopic: Which has little to do with LGBTQ... :D

Scribbled Lore 08-23-2010 01:58 AM

Oh yeah? How so? *curious*

scholar 08-23-2010 02:02 AM

It's just frustrating not to know what someone has worked on, if they're given no credit. A lot of my composer friends say that it's a real drag to work there, since you're writing someone else's music.

Hello everyone.
Even though no ones online

Dest1218 08-23-2010 05:16 AM

Hello Boobical xD
Hey other people of menewsha

Scribbled Lore 08-23-2010 12:15 PM

Hi there Dest! Hey Ribs. :)

Boobical_Ribs 08-23-2010 04:15 PM

Hmm.
Good afternoon everyone

scholar 08-23-2010 04:16 PM

It's morning where I am!

Boobical_Ribs 08-23-2010 04:17 PM

12:17 here.
(:
Good morning to you.
(:

Scribbled Lore 08-23-2010 04:28 PM

So, Ribs, do you read any queer literature? Actually I suppose I should ask if you even like to read. :XD

Boobical_Ribs 08-23-2010 04:49 PM

Hmm.
I love to read.
But the closest thing ive read to queer was the book Luna.
About a transgender.
It was really good.
(:

Dest1218 08-23-2010 05:19 PM

I don't even read books anymore - i go to Booksie.com<3
I'm addicted to it now

scholar 08-23-2010 08:58 PM

There's a tactile thrill of holding a book, and you (generally) get a higher quality from published literature.

Scribbled Lore 08-24-2010 12:38 AM

I've been reading Bi Any Other Name which is a collection of short essays from bisexual people. It's been interesting. I've also got a book checked out from the library that's a collection of essays from adult children of LGBTQ parents.

ChaosCass13 08-24-2010 01:53 AM

Wow, it looks like this really picked up after a while. How long has this group been here?

Scribbled Lore 08-24-2010 03:27 AM

For a couple of weeks now. Not very long at all!

Hi there!

The_Crow 08-24-2010 06:03 AM

I wonder why I haven't seen this before. It's really had to find threads for asexuals. I also checked 'genderqueer' even though I prefer to be called an androgyne.

Scribbled Lore 08-24-2010 03:39 PM

We're really sporadically active is why I would guess you haven't seen us, Crow. "QUILTBAG" was coined by a friend of mine who lives in Tel-Aviv and is an active member of the queer activist groups there; she wanted a term that was an inclusive as she could make it and fun to say.

I'm just spreadin' the message of QUILTBAG to the masses. :D

Is there anything you'd like to see added to thread; for example a resource I could link to on gender neutral pronouns that you enjoy in particular?

Boobical_Ribs 08-25-2010 01:05 AM

Hello hello everyone.
(:

ChaosCass13 08-25-2010 03:31 AM

There seems to be a lot of Bisexual people out there. I don't know many, I think...

Scribbled Lore 08-25-2010 12:25 PM

You know I thought that was kind of weird - we have so many bisexual people who have filled out the poll but not so much for anyone else. I definitely expected there to be more gay men and lesbians than I did bisexual people.

I know two bisexual people in my personal circle of friends IRL and I happen to be bisexual myself.

scholar 08-25-2010 09:38 PM

I think bisexuality is actually more common than just lesbian or just gay -- there's that spectrum, the Kinsey Scale I think it's called, with straight at one end and homosexual at another, and most people fit somewhere in the middle. I'm more attracted to other girls than to guys, but I still consider myself bi -- and I've been married to a man for five years.

Dest1218 08-25-2010 11:05 PM

Hm i actually know more lesbians than anything but lol that may be cause that's who i choose to hang out with
(I'm bi.. I think I prefer girls... kinda)

Scribbled Lore 08-25-2010 11:06 PM

That's a good point about the Kinsey scale, Scholar.

How did you do the rainbow mohawk?

----------

Most of the people I end up hanging out with are straight and sometimes it's weird because I can't always relate to their problems.

scholar 08-26-2010 03:07 AM

It's part of the Iris' Rainbow CI, from July.

*points to siggy* You can win one in my raffle!
