That ends up happening because of the lithium ion batteries that these phones use. If you don't discharge them all the way before charging, and leave it on the charger for excess time, the charge capacity greatly reduces in a hurry. And since people like to leave their phones on the charger overnight, well.... that doesn't help matters any.

Customer service sucks these days. I spent over a month arguing with people overseas outsourced into calling centers because my phone was overcharging me for calls. A freaking month, because while they might speak English, not every person I talked to understood the problem. I'd say two out of seven did. -_-;

Inso: That's balls. Then again, some companies are idiotic like that. 'specially Apple. Their warranties and such piss me off to no extent (has a stupid broken Mac. Battery exploded. Its funny XD)

Actually, apart from skin contact, I'd say there is a very high chance you also had thermal damage to the computer. At that point the entire laptop should be getting replaced for free.

Inso: They are making my mom pay $350 to replace the battery. I was pissed, but she is being passive about it. I think Apple is full of horse poo, but that's just my opinion. Plus, apparently my screen is dying. I laughed. I bought my laptop when I started College in August 2008, and by November 2009 the battery blew up XD

I have a shitty Compaq laptop. But it's worked for over 6 years now, while being on like, weeks at a time. I can't complain about it, really.

Aww man I have a Vaio laptop that I dropped in 2007, making the screen crack. It's still useable though but I have to plug an external monitor into it.
