back and i dont see how you can say yuri is good and yaoi is good. They are really the same thing guy-guy or girl-girl. I dont like Yaoi but i dont think its gross.

Rad is right though. Originally, Yaoi referred to the explicit stuff only. The softer stuff, previously called shounen ai, now called Boy Love is not yaoi. But Yaoi is Boy Love.

Also, I think most girls don't like yuri because it hits too close to home for them, being girls and all. Personally, I tolerate the bad storytelling of yaoi better than the bad storytelling of yuri.

I don't like most yuri because I don't like how girls get characterized in general in most Japanese manga. That's not the kind of girls I want to be reading about.

Granted, I hate a lot of the stereotypes found in yaoi too, but I tolerate it better. I can deal with emasculated boys better than I can deal with moe blob girls.
