xD; You'll be back! The longest you can really get stationed over there without special permission is 10-12 years. Then they'll force you to go elsewhere. And if you leave the air force, they don't let many foreigners immigrate to Japan, o 3o;

My dad next to me says that after an overseas assignment, they usually make you do a stateside before you do another overseas. (He's a retired master sergeant.)

my uncles a retired senior, was overseas for 19 of 20 years, the first year was his training stuff but after that he moved from overseas to overseas
