nothing much, just watching Liz playing Just Dance 2 and reading a story about how researchers have found out cancer is a man made disease created by pollution diet and other enviromental factors. Basicly the study looks at mummys from egpty and greece and follows the historical records of tumors. It says thay they first became to appear in the last 200 years with the start of the industrial reveloution.
Before that there is little or no record of cancer, kinda intresting.

@Mitsie
I would argue that after 200 years, you wouldn't be able to really detect cancer as well as all of the cells that would be cancerous would have been dead. I bet you that back in Egypt's day, skin cancer was a huge deal, they just didn't know what it was.

they are traces its just not common and tumors should be well persevered in mummys. Anyway the research comes from my Local University so win for us ^^.

I had to stop reading after this line,
Quote:
|
There is nothing in the natural environment that can cause cancer. So it has to be a man-made disease, down to pollution and changes to our diet and lifestyle.
|
I won't deny any of the merit of the actual research paper itself, but the person who wrote the article is clearly not very bright.
EDIT: It also bothers me that they don't cite the paper that it came from...

That doesn't give you the articles name, the issue number, the volume number, date, or anything else. Do you know how many issues of Nature there are, and how many articles per issue there are? It would take forever to find it.

*hugs* Awww. That sucks, D: Don't leave us though!
@Mitsie
Just because the news article is new doesn't mean it came from the latest issue of the journal. It could have been last months issue. It still doesn't give a title either or an author. I'm a scientist, I'm used to combing through journals. And not properly citing the article you got news from is something that makes me very upset, as it doesn't give credit where credit is due.
