I should give cookie my recipe for home made mac and cheese! Cause I hate normal mac and cheese for the same reaons, but found a really good recipe that doesn't do that. :D

My other problem with home made mac and cheese is the lack over overall flavor. It's like, as soon as you melt the cheese, the flavor bleeds out and you have to add a freaking ton of salt and pepper to try to give back any sort of taste.

Ewwww...Velveeta is gross. Nope just normal cheese tho, which ever kind you like. I find that the reciepe tends to have a really good flavor. I will send you a copy of it when I get home :D I honestly don't have to add any salt, there is something like 1/8 of a teaspoon of pepper in it but that is it. I can't remember the whole thing off the top of my head tho lol

I only eat home made mac and cheese, it's never greasy or clumpy though.

Sometimes I have microwavable stuff though, but it's usually oily and glossy, kinda odd.

Sometimes I'll use the base of my pot pie recipe for mac and cheese and use chicken broth for flavor, but I want my mac and cheese to be creamy and cheesy, not chicken flavored. ^_^;;

Velveeta has its uses. It makes a nice chicken spaghetti dish or a dip for chips. I saw Paula Deen make fudge with it once *gags*
