There aren't any snakes around here. The closest one I know of lives about four blocks away from my house.

Momo: Yes

back everyone, was just editing the opening of my story book. This is the start at the moment:-

I lay on the floor half way under my bed searching through the shoes, books and DVDs that were stacked under there. Throwing them behind me one by one not caring about were they landed. Nothing mattered but finding the box that held my secret treasure, the one thing I wasn’t suppose to have.

After poking around the bed my hands came to rest on the metal case my treasure was hidden in. My hands felt like they were touching as ice as I pulled the case from the black void. I placed the key in the lock and gentle turned key, filling with excitement when I heard the clicking sound. I like a pirate opening a hidden treasure chest for the first time but there was no gold contained within this chest.

Reaching inside I pulled the old tattered book from the box. I moved my hand across the worn cover felling every little imperfection. Then I traced my fingers the engraved letters that spelled out the authors name “Fredrick Williamson.” I could feel the guilty sensation sallow me up inside while I smiled down at the cover. I knew his name was never to be spoken in this house hold. Yet I pulled the book up against my hugging it tightly to my chest.

You can give me feedback if you want on the first few paragraphs.

...the story is okay, I need to know the plot, though. I don't really get what the story is about until I know what the plot is!! :gonk: I like the story, though.

That's the very, very opening... not even a completed scene. Still that's the style and everything.
