The thunderous sound of the door slamming, soon to be followed my the monstrous footstep marching up the stairs towards my room pulled me back into reality.

“Carly!” my mother shouted as my bedroom door swung open. Like a violent tornado she stormed into the room. I sat in silent, while I watched her eyes scanning the mess litter on the floor until they final met my own.

I could feel the hairs on my back stand up as she begin to yell. “What is this mess young lady?! Have you even started on your chores yet!” The tone in her voice reminiscent of a drill sergeant lecturing new recruits.

“Sorry” I apologised while I moved the book behind me hoping that she didn’t see knowing what would happen if she did.

“What is that in your arms?” She yelled while pouncing down upon me like a tiger jumping on its pray. She grabbed the book digging her claws into it like the beast she was, snatching it out from my arms before I could react. Snarling at me she looked at the cover, her eyes now seemed more dangerous than ever as she stood in silence. She didn’t need to speak her glare burned into me. In a slow concise she spoke to me. “What Is his work doing inside this house?”

“I… Well…” My words were lost in my own head. With ever word I spoke I could see the anger on her face increase ten fold. If she was a storm when she entered the room she had now been upgraded to a hurricane. The bitter tension in the room was boiling all around me consumed me.

“How dare you bring this, this man work into this house.” She snarled at me, spiting her words out into my face. My bold begin to boil inside me, my body shook uncontrollable, as I looked up towards my Mother. “That man is my father” I shouted back towards her. The words flew from my mouth before I could even stop myself. All I could do was cover my mouth and wait for the lecture that was coming from the wrench that stood in front of me.

“Your father? Your father Carly? That man left us without a word. He has fame and money while I am left working two jobs to pay the mortgage. That man isn’t your father and he never will be.” The words felt like a death blow harming down on me. “He… but… He his my father, I wont forget that.” I said holding back the tears that were welling behind my eyes. I kept my gaze on unable to move as her took to the book tearing the pages, peace by peace and letting them fall to the ground. With each ripe on the pages part of my heart ripped as well until all what was left was bits on the floor. “Now be a good girl and clean this mess up” She barked one last order towards me, before she marched out of the room like a solider.

Thanks Momo, its the unedited version. It will be expanded and colored more. Then you have Carly going to live with her Father later on in the book and meting the Spirit M that well helps her reconnect with her father after she uncovers the history behind this young boys death 100s of years before. It become a romance, drama for teenage.
