see, that is the problem with things now a-days. we watch so much violence on tv that it seems nearly common. so when you find out you missed out on something really dangerous you are all disappointed.
PRIME EXAMPLE: last summer we happened to notice smoke in the sky. if you have every seen anything on fire you can tell the difference between wood smoke and plastic smoke and airplane fuel smoke ... yes, we live near a big airport ... anyway, this was OBVIOUSLY a building fire. and we could tell from the general direction what side of town it was coming from. but was that good enough for my (fully grown adult) friends (who have children and are supposed to be a good example) just HAD to pile in a car and drive to where it was to find out what it was that was on fire instead of simply turning on the radio or something. |

I'm also excited that I finally found a player that will play my music like I want it to be played! *bounces* I was on a Windows XP machine a few months ago and I still used a really old version of Windows Media player cause I didn't like the newer one. But I got a new computer and the updated Media Player was my default. It was terrible the way it played things and was constantly downloading information. UGH! It had to go! I tried out a few things but I found that VLC plays my stuff exactly how I want it played. YAY! |
@Cookie, *nods* I didn't really look much at the regular food entries since I wasn't competing against them... XD; I tried to load the picture of the one that won but it was taking too long. But just from reading the descriptions though, I definitely agree with you. :< I wonder what the entries were judged on... I mean, it's hard to judge a cooking contest without actually tasting things so I thought they were being judged on how pretty they looked.
And yay for VLC! 8D brb, going to see if we have any food that might make me feel less sick... |
Haha yeah.. I've had so much going on with my life recently that I have totally abandoned Menewsha and then yesterday I was on Gaia and I totally realize how boring it is then I think "Wait! What about Menewsha?" So today when I woke up I thought I would come online and then I came here and now I am here. :)

@Crazy: Actually, I was only around second grade back then. Didn't watch too much TV or anything. My mom enjoyed cramming my brain full with textbook. Still, I'd never seen a real gun before so I was curious...now, over ten years later, I felt stupid for wanting to run towards danger back then. Just like the time when I wanted to run towards a giant black cobra with its hood opened and give it a hug. :roll: |
@Crazy - I'm curious, but not curious enough to go see! Like that explosion the other week. D: I just sat patiently and checked the news.
@Luna - The picture is huge. Like default one million by one million pixels size XD And granted, the carrot bow was fairly creative and I can see what they were trying for with the green stuffing on top (it looks gross, like nuclear peas) but I can't understand how a few carrot shreds in the shape of a bow wins out over the other entries. And Yes. I also use VLC to play DVDs cause WMP is dumb about playing those too -_- @Nyvok - Lately I've been playing a lot of games and ignoring Menewsha, but I always come back to it. @Fading - Windows Media Players is an inefficient resource hog. I was ok using it on my old computer where it wasn't so bad because it was an old version and I was familiar with it. But this recent version sucks balls. |
@Fading- I spend very little time on Gaia these days. I'm surprised I still even log on THERE!
@Cookie- I came back and I looked at the hairs and was like "this one is like a sexy messy sort of thing" I was surprised--haven't seen much newness lately. Makes me all hyper and stuff, because that's me--i'm hyper and new addicted |

well, I have been around enough scary in my life that even at the sound of raised voices near my home I am ordering my kid in the house and locking the doors! when I was younger I'd all be trying to go near and see what is going on.
