I JUST found out today what this thing me and my brother have is called! I've been trying to research it online ever since I first started getting these attacks 3 or so years ago. it's so wonderful to finally have a name of something. it makes you seem less crazy and alone. :yes:

basically it starts out with you not feeling good to your tummy at all! then you start getting these burps that smell like rotten eggs. they aren't pleasant to taste either. and then you start getting the gas and the burps. usually after a while of this you will get diarrhea and then it finally progresses to throwing up. after that you start to feel better. of it all, the burps are the worst!
I came down with it last week. I hadn't had it for about a year. my son came downstairs after I had just done one of the burps. he said I stinked so bad I needed to go live outside until I was better. apparently if you have EVER had it Gerd only gets worse as you get older and there is no cure. the medicine they can give you is like super-Alka-Seltzer but that is about it. |

Oh, wow! At least you know about it now! Even if there is no cure and *laughs* Kids always say the most random sometimes cute things. How old is your son?

now I envy you Rad. I didn't get enough good sleep last night.
he's 10, but he has Asperger's so he's really on a mental/social level of a 5 year old. OH! one night I had my friend watch him while I did some shopping. by the time I got out of the stores I was nearly in full panic attack mode. when I have an anxiety attack I sweat. well, when I got back I was standing on the front porch with the babysitter having a cigarette. Gavin opens the door and shouts, "MOMMY! YOU'RE HEAD IS ON FIRE!!!" :rofl: it was the hot sweat steaming in the cold night air. |

I am well :) got a little bit of snow last night but its all gone now :( At least we didn't get a blizzard like last year!
