Before I changed my major (this year), I was a junior biology major at UTK. It's not at all uncommon for that event to happen - a few weeks ago, in fact, there was an even larger flock that had eaten fermented grapes, got drunk mid-air, died and hit the ground. It's not uncommon, and the news likes to make big deals about things like this because it gets them airtime.

Plus the closer to 2012 we get, the more this shit will blow out of proportion.

Agreed, although now the 'scientists' who screamed Dec. 2012 have said 'Oh, hey, we maaaaay have miscalculated...." But of course, that doesn't get a lot of airtime because tension -increases- the sway of news agencies.

I think the end of the world will happen, but it won't be as we expect.
It'll be something like, the Simpsons will get canceled...THE END OF THE WORLD!
