I'm thinking of coloring my hair again, my dark roots are starting to come back in, but I'm not sure if now that it's headed into winter if I should stick with the lighter hair color or go darker ...

*shrug* do what ya want crazy-chan yami's roots don't really show that much when they start to come in cause the dye is only a few shades darker, but as a whole it makes a huuuuge difference

and that is just it, my roots are a few shades darker ... so it really doesn't show except the tips of my hair which always turn so much lighter than everything else over time. I have no idea why that happens.

the longer your hair gets the thinner it gets which means there's less concentration of color there

well, my hair is pretty thick from top to bottom, but I see what you mean. that and the longer ends have seen more light and color and junk, right? but I refuse to get my hair cut short again! I think maybe I'll leave it alone until next summer. it doesn't really look bad right now anyway. nobody ever notices but me ... but I tell you what, if my sister comes at me in the next few months with seeing gray hair, then I'm gonna dye it! she's the only one who is really honest with me about that sort of thing.
