Depends. If you replace the word stab with slicing open layers of epiethelial cells, is it still funny? Vocabulary words have connotations assigned to them by society. You changed the word, and therefore the connotation.

But Rape is Sexual Violence. That's what it is. So saying what it is should mean the same thing. Why should rape be funny when it is sexual violence, which is never funny?

I don't really care that people disagree. Clearly everybody's going to have a different view, but if nobody puts their foot down, then that disgusting rape culture will just continue to poison people.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not for rape in the real world, EVER. It is cruel and disgusting. But the reason people find the word funny is the same reasons that people find other words associated with violence funny. Cartoons. People didn't laugh about hurting and killing like they do nowadays until the emergence of Bugs Bunny et. al. in the early days of television.

i think there should be a level of tolerance when saying "IMMA RA3P YOUUUUU!!!" and a mutual agreeing on the fact that we are all just kidding when we say it.... tis not funny when rape is real :P

I never claimed to be the paragon of innocence. Clearly, I am not. But I believe the context is condom balloon animal commercials that we were watching.

At any rate, it's been a talking point in the places where I hang out and I like to think of myself as a person capable of learning from my mistakes. What I said four months ago isn't something that I'd say today.

It's impossible Zaza. People are people. We're always going to be inherently stupid. It's up to us to draw lines. If you just say, "Oh well lets erase all of the lines" or conversely "Let's draw a lot more!" Then where do you stop? You either have no lines or far too many. You have to draw it for yourself and defend it.
