The Menewsha Herald - Mene's weekly news publication
Menewsha may be a small island but that doesn't mean we can't have our own news paper, wouldn't you agree? Of course you would! In fact you should read it right now! :3 Volume 9, November 1st, 2010 (Here are the ripped images of the paper, they are low quality but atleast it's a fix if you can't use adobe. Don't forget to cntr+roll mouse wheel to make images larger if you can't see them well.) 1 2 3 4 5 6 This is where the magic happens of course. The herald has dedicated writers and editors working all week long to create a (hopefully)entertaining and educational publication for all our readers. This thread exists as not only a place for you to pick up your copy of the paper each week but also as a place to talk about the herald or suggest changes and feed back for it. The Menewsha Herald Staff Let me introduce you to the staff of the Herald and what articles are currently being published by them. Gary Stargazer Current Articles "Let's get to know Menewsha" A one on one Q&A session with some of the islands more well known residents. "You piss me off" A personal rant about whatever comes to mind for that week. (Warning:Tends to be highly opinionated and jerkish Xd) Syraannabelle Current Articles "Syra's Scopes" A weekly horoscope using the islands own zodiac. Syra also plays a vital role in helping to bring the publication together in a nice clean format via the pdf files. zazabar Editor of the paper, he is in charge of keeping the articles nice and tidy. He also helps with file hosting. Lixlaria Current Articles "Lix's Game corner" Lixlaria creates a different game each week for the paper. (Word games, sudoku, etc..) fairywaif Current Articles "Local Flavor" fairywaif reviews local hangouts and other threads to give you the low down on places of interest. Naoto-chan22 Current Articles "Tea Time with Nao" Get the latest scoop on Mene's most talked about gossip for the week. LaVida Current Articles "Guinea Pig" LaVida product tests items for your avatar, both popular ones and ones you may not see very often. Zilithandria Moonlight Current Articles "The Notables" The Many Quotes of Menewsha Comic Artist NekoMary "Cat n' Mouse" An original comic following the adventures of an un-named cat and mouse. HIM_ROCK "HIM's Whims" A weekly comic strip using popular chars from the mene world. Now you have met our staff and have an idea of what kind of articles we offer. We are always looking for new ideas and writers so if you think you have what it takes to write for us, or just want to suggest a new article, feel free to drop us a line. |
Article Submissions and ideas Do you have an idea for an article or perhaps wish to write one yourself? If you have an idea for one, simply post here in the thread, we will see it and discuss if it's possible or not. If you like the idea of becoming a weekly columnist for the herald, please PM me with your proposed article idea and we will talk it over. :3 Help Wanted Here you can find things we specifically need help with, idea's that need writers to fulfill them. Nothing right now, but if you have a good idea for a column feel free to let us know :3 Supporting The Herald. The Menewsha Herald is supported by it's readers, if you enjoy our weekly paper there are a few things you can do to help it grow and get better. *First off if you like the paper then "like" it on FB so other menewshan's on FB can find it. *Putting one of our banners in your sig would be a great help in getting the word out as well. :3 *Speaking of sig's if you would like to contribute a banner to the paper I will have a list of them after this topic. *Feedback is critical to our success, we need to know what you like and what you hate. If an article just isn't cutting it for you or you have one you adore let us know. *Finally one of the best ways to help out may just be telling us about news worthy info to add to the next issue.
