@Raine My character's parents were dead on accident, I didn't intend them to be, but I realized that when I made my character a "survivor of a zombie apocalypse" I kindof auto-killed her parents. XDD And honestly I wouldn't worry about it. Since I posted in there, it's been abandoned. I wish it would restart but I think everyone, including the thread master and excluding myself, has moved on from it. v.v

Yeah, Nim, I don't frown on parent deaths all the time. Like, for my Isobel, her mother died, but that was a necessary tool to move the plot along. My entire novel would never have happened if her mom was still alive.

That makes sense, though. I'm sick of seeing unoriginal "loner" characters whose parents died for some mysterious reason when they were 12-16 and were abandoned, ever since then they've been distrustful of people and sheltered and appear cold on the inside and require other characters to unlock their sensitive side; which basically translates into: I'm lazy and don't want to make a solid character biography, my character is going to be irritatingly quiet, and any time you want me to help in the plot in any way, you have to bring it about yourself because I don't go out of my way to help anyone ever.

XD I've just been in too many RPs seeing too many bios exactly like that. It drives me crazy! It's not like I want everyone to be running around like social butterflies and jumping up and down with overbounding happiness and excitement and moving the plot in five hundred directions, I just want solid, believable, and original characters! It doesn't require much creativity! Just a brain and turning off the auto-plot switch that hides in everybody's brain!

Woooooow. Just woooow. That's definitely no pedo. Not at all. God, how old was he? Like a mythical number like "He's 2214 but he looks sixteen" so it's totally normal that he's into a twelve year old? Even then, dear gods. That's why I was amazed being the only one after reading the Twilight book (forced to by friends, shutup v.v) and saying "HE'S A OVER A HUNDRED. Bella is twenty. It may not be pedo, but it's no worse than those mid-life crisis guys in their sixties driving a new Mustang with a twenty-something little blonde bimbo sitting next to him. x.x

And Nim, it's okay. I read all four and watched the first two. I read them at a time when I was feeling low, and I know now that they're crap. lol But I found it really easy to relate to Bella in the beginning. That's probably how the series did so well, helping young girls relate to a girl like her and then giving her everything she could ever hope for. But no, don't even get me started on the series. I can rant for HOURS on how it shames me as a writer. XD
