Awful. I just had to put my cat down.
I'm trying to use Mene to distract myself so I don't go into work a complete mess.
I had him for such a long time. <3

Oh my gosh... I'm so sorry. :/
Distraction would be good right before work.

Was he sick?

Yes, he's been sick. We didn't want to take him though, because somehow we all knew this would be the outcome. The last few days he's been eating more and throwing up less so we thought that maybe he was getting better. Well, hoped anyway.

But this morning he had an accident, and tried getting into the neighbors pool and broke his leg, so we had to rush him to the vet. We got him years ago as a stray, so we were never really sure how old he was.
The vet said he was 14, and his kidneys above all were failing from his age, and there was nothing we could do.

I'm just really upset cause he spent his last hour in terrible pain from his broken leg! That's not at all how I wanted his last moments to go.
And my bro and sis are in school so they don't even know yet.


ANYWAY, sorry to unleash the whole pet dying rant upon you. x.x

No no, it's okay. Sometimes talking about it helps. I'm hear to listen. :3

Poor cat though.. :/ I've never wanted animal to die in pain like that.. Worst way to go.

Gosh.. they're going to be heartbroken when they get home..

I know, my brother is only 11....or maybe 12. :ninja:
Either way, he's still young and it's gonna hit him hard.

I mean, I like to say I "grew up" with the cat, but he literally did. We've had it since I was twelve, making my brother four when we got it.

My mom's gonna try and wait to tell him after he gets his homework done. She left his food dish and litter box out to trick him. ._.

Poor little guy.. :/

Hopefully he doesn't suspect anything when he gets home.

I know, I considering leaving to go to work early just because seeing his reaction right before having to go in is only gonna really upset me again.

I probably wouldn't be able to take it either.

I know, they asked if we wanted to wait in the room while they did it. My mom stayed with him, but I had to go sit outside. I can't have that image in my head, knowing he's dying is bad enough, I can't actually watch him die.

I couldn't see that either. It would be way too painful to watch.
