I should make one, but I'm horrible at keeping things like that. Seriously. Never kept a diary when I was younger cause meh....writing in it.
But if it's online, might be easier. |
I dunno what I'd do with one of those threads. I feel like I'd forget to use it, which may defeat the purpose a little.
|
I'd want to clear it out every three months. BI
|
Its definitely something that you need to actively remember each day Bearzy!
LingLing, whats yours? Do you have a link for us to check it out? I'd take a look! Goat, you sound like me sometimes! I'm about as anti-hoarder as I can be. The only stuff I hang on to are art materials, those things come in handy for all sorts of stuff at the weirdest times! |
i smell... *sniffs the air*... ca-ca... hmm... i think it's a drop bear poo!
|
YOURE a POO, linny-poop! [lol]
|
are you saying i came out of your ass? you cheeky bastard! that's disgusting!
|
I can never even remember to write every day which was my new years resolution. Speaking of which... guess what I haven't done yet?
|
yea i'm having a hard time with that too >.>
i have been lumping days into one post if i didn't do anything particularly interesting |

Drop Bear: There's the link to my memory jar...so far it's not too interesting but I may try to pretty it up when I can...[yes] I am a weird person when it comes to personal diary keeping...I started writing one when I was 11 and now I've accumulated and filled many volumes of various notebooks and exercise books for the purposes of diary keeping...and so far the ones I write when I go travelling have been kept in separate notebooks too. Mind you, my habits have changed and most of the time these days I don't write nearly as often as I did as a teenager... Hehe, my thoughts on hoarding...I live in a household of hoarders...it's a trait I've inherited from my parents..my brother used to be largely the same, but since he moved out he's learnt to throw away stuff...because of lack of room/space for storage. What's interesting is that my residence does have room for us to have accumulated more than 20 years worth of stuff....and much more than we realised...because the last time we cleaned out stuff for hard refuse collection there was soo much we only managed to clear out the stuff in the garage and the shed...not even the rest of the backyard although we did get rid of some bundles of honeysuckle vines. |
I understand the impulse not to throw stuff away and the various motivations behind it. I just ignore it most of the time.
Also, my Forgettory and the Photo Book threads have pictures of my new hair style. Figured I shouldnt post three different locations of it. |
Thoughts on a Woody
I made one too. One of us! One of uuuuuuuuus! I had to. ;) I won't be faithful about posting AT all though. |
[lol]
I read Woody's post above mine and when I saw AT like that in capitals I thought for a split second initially that it was an acronym so if I were reading it out loud I'd have read it as 'A-T' and then it hit me... |
Hahaha. I read it like that just to see how confusing that'd be. It was . Nice :D
If I whip out the acronyms, I'll let cha know ;) |
Woody you look like heidi. So cute!
|
Thanks Bearzy! Just missing those awesome braids, right?

Its so damned hot here, and I'm so tired, I keep nodding off infront of the computer!
Went and looked at another house today, unfortunately couldnt get into the place to inspect the inside because the freshly cut keys werent working. The yards looked nice though, very nice shed on it. Would have been easy enough to maintain and cheap rent too. I spent all yesterday out in the bloody heat working at my mates place on his top section of his yard where he's building his shed. We knocked down a brick wall, levelled the yard out to the right height as per council regulations so it could be inspected once the new brick wall was put in. We also filled in some of the trenches he had to dig earlier for drainage on the lower tier of his yard. His shed is going to have a car hoist in it. It'll be pretty damned sweet! Heres some pictures: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y24...ettory/008.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y24...ettory/007.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y24...ettory/009.jpg |
Exactly! (Also, the comic in your signature is hilarious.)
And droopy, I think everyone is house hunting right now. Hope you're having better luck than me. |
Im just looking for the most part. Nothing serious. Just seeing whats available, standards and prices, locations.
Theres a nice one down the road that I'd like to get if it comes up, and theres also another one back close to where I used to live before thats absolutely amazing! |
Ah, see we have to move out of our place because of earthquake damage. (Also, it's a bit shit. Plants grow through cracks in the walls, and I'm pretty fucking sure it's not got insulation.*shakes fist at landlord*)
|
Thanks Bearzy!! I love Hark! A Vagrant.
Earthquake damage? Oh man that stinks. :( Droopy, all that yard work looks FUN though. I want to play with the heavy machinery! I hope he paid you well in beers. |
Wow, Drop Bear, you guys must've been dedicated to do that heavy work outdoors in the heat...
@ Bearzy, I hope your new home will be more comfortable. |
How hot has it been? It was in the single digits here a few days ago with windchills in the -10s. Today? It was near 60.
So uh... -14 C with -23 wind chill and today it was 15 C. We even had a thunderstorm today. Safe to say that all our snow melted. |
Thanks guys [:)]
Wow that weather sounds weird, woody! It's been about 20 C during the day here I think. Maybe a bit hotter earlier in the week, but I never really check. |
According to the charts, it was 30*C here the day we did the landscaping. That said, when you're out in the sun here without shade etc, you'll be burnt in about an hour or less, and badly burnt in 2-3hrs. We spent all day in it. Im now waiting for my ears to peal. >_<
I'll post up pics of the new car I got the other day too! Still havent managed to do that yet! Bearzy, have fun hunting for a place. I cant imagine what a quake-damaged place would be like to live in, but my old place used to have a SEVERELY leaking roof, so I can sympathise to a degree possibly! |
