I went to Melbourne for the day on Friday...tiring day but so much fun!

I feel like abusing the "did this post help you" button.

I flew in by plane, caught the express bus to CBD, spent time sightseeing, catching up with friends, lunch, dessert, partial free city loop tram, and very quick reunion with friend who I hadn't seen in many years all good, then express from CBD, back to airport back home.

Very long, expensive and tiring day but I've no regrets, the thrill of being able to go so far and come back home without an overnight stay was so fun! [mrgreen]

I was watching something then suddenly it was all early cgi from 2003 i felt like I'd been smacked lol

Sounds like a good day trip LingLing! Melbourne has been awesome the few times ive been. Once for a day trip that was for a job interview,didnt get to see much sadly, and another that was a trip with the ex a year or two ago that was brilliant. spent 4 days there then and loved it!

The only planning in relation to that daytrip was figuring out the when and where to meet those I would be catching up with on the day in CBD. mobile phones make changes around that easy to work out... Then making sure there was time to incorporate getting to and from airports and gates with adequate time to ensure arrival in time to board flights, the rest was spontaneous.

Melbourne CBD is very interesting in its own way....it is also bigger than my hometown's CBD by far....so just wandering around sightseeing and taking photos was a hell of a lotta fun!

Hehe...galahs are Aussie parrots that are pink, grey and white....they have a tendency to hang out in huge flocks but I don't think they're too bad though.

Corellas on the other hand I've been tempted to call them 'bloody' corellas many times, because their flocks are even bigger than that of the galahs, and are they're very loud, you can hear them from far away...and they're not as cute as galahs either.

Anyway....it's nice to see this thread back on the front page. I'll be going to Sydney in a weeks time....for a period of 4 days. I'll be seeing a friend but have been so busy with other stuff that I haven't even really thought about what to do during those 4 days.

oh i just looked them up. they are pretty interesting little birdies! [yes] sounds like they are a bit of nuisance if anything... maybe that's why drop-fart-face called me that [stare]
