BWAHAHAHAHAHA! Vera you funny f**ker! [lol]

Though, to be fair, I've FINALLY met a decent Aboriginal bloke that doesnt fall into the typical stereotypes associated with horrible Aboriginal behaviour. Its only taken nearly 30 years though!

Anywho, had a house party at a mates place last night while his folks are away over seas. Was a great night. Had a candy fight throwing strawberry creams at each other for about half an hour or so in the loungeroom while attempting to watch some form of motor sports on TV...
My mates brother also showed me a couple of tracks of a new album hes finished mastering for another band we knew and it sounds AWESOME! Really different, but super awesome! I'm getting a hold of it when it comes out. Yes, thats right, I got a sneak listen to it last night before release!

And a Galah, as mentioned, is a pink and white bird, about the size of a cockatoo or slightly smaller. Theyre also fairly stupid, you see them hit on the roads fairly frequently because they dont move fast enough to avoid cars. However, the 'Galah' comment is referenced from an Aussie TV show called "Home & Away" that for a long time, had a character called 'Alf Stewart' who used to call anything he was annoyed with "A flamin' {object}" and he became quite famous for the "flamin' galah" comment most predominantly I believe. As a result, calling some one a 'galah' basically just means theyre doing something silly. Its a very inoffensive term as far as calling some one something can go.

Hiya I'm new:) just checking out everyone's threads and stuff ^_^

Drop Bear 10-27-2014 05:32 AM

Heya Kushy! Whats doing? Welcome to this place... which I kinda maybe a little bit forgot even existed! [ninja] but dont tell anyone and they'll never know, right? Particularly me, dont tell me and I swear I will have no idea what it is that I'm not knowing about... I think?

OnYourGoat 10-27-2014 06:59 AM

Oops. I think I'm in your boat Dropy.

Ling 10-28-2014 07:21 AM

The Billabong has emerged! Just in time for a dry Australian summer!

Bearzy 10-28-2014 07:23 AM

Let me stay as faaaar away from the concept of an Australian summer as I can.

Ling 10-28-2014 07:30 AM

As an Australian...I kind of can't. But I totally get why you would want to stay far away from it...no one likes a 46 degree celsius day...which is the hottest we had where I live last year.

OnYourGoat 10-28-2014 11:37 AM

The australian summer really makes me nostalgic for the early days of highschool. I had hope then.

I start complaining at TWENTY six. You guys are mad living there. [t2h]

Drop Bear 10-31-2014 06:47 AM

We've been over this Bearzy! You lot across The Ditch are just a bunch of sooks! [lol]

Goaty, its only a tinny, dont rock my boat too much or we'll go under! [:P]

Also, if you want to know what madness is, its me, outside in the sun, in cotton drill long pants and shirt, still working in that sort of heat.

... YAY FOR SUMMER! [rofl]

OnYourGoat 10-31-2014 06:57 AM

Gods i love this country

Drop Bear 10-31-2014 07:03 AM

Because we're all just a little bit mental? [:P]

Bearzy 10-31-2014 10:44 AM

A little bit? So much more than a little bit.

Ling 10-31-2014 12:16 PM

I can't argue with that....I actually went out for no apparent reason on that infamous 46 degree day...and survived.

Bearzy 10-31-2014 08:02 PM

Amazing. I am in awe.

Drop Bear 11-01-2014 12:26 AM

BAH! You know its hot when, in the middle of summer, you leave your room to go stand in the sun because its SOOO much cooler than where you are sitting inside!

Even the dog looked at me like I was mental that time! [lol]

Bearzy 11-01-2014 09:21 AM

I am never visiting Australia in summer. Noooope.

OnYourGoat 11-04-2014 11:40 AM

It was more a sarcastic remark.

Drop Bear 11-05-2014 08:27 AM

Sarcasm has no place in this country! Everyone knows that we have absolutely 0% sense of humour!

/sarcasm

OnYourGoat 11-05-2014 01:23 PM

Exactly!

Xya 11-05-2014 01:50 PM

I have a friend that lives in Rockhampton does that count?

Drop Bear 11-06-2014 06:32 AM

I dont think we're having a contest as such, but Rockhampton looks like a nice place from what I can see of it, and I have the vague impression its a good place from the few times I think I've heard of it being mentioned.

AliciaNwonderland 11-06-2014 05:17 PM
