Thai chili anything is good!

Woodlandnymph 04-01-2012 05:54 AM

Riiiiight? So good. I love spicy food, and I love spices (in general) plus....come on, if it's asian, it has to be good. I love me some Indian, thai, vietnamese, korean, japanese....list goes on and on.

Bearzy 04-01-2012 05:57 AM

Kimchi Ramyun! Sushi! Serious yumyums!

Woodlandnymph 04-01-2012 06:02 AM

Mmmm  yes please to both! :D I had some fantastic korean bbq in Portland. So good. I don't understand one thing that I've seen South Koreans do...They eat pickles when they eat something rich and savory, like pasta.

Don't get me wrong...I like pickles. But....I dunno. Odd combo. I'm sure it's to like, cut down on the richness. but still.

Bearzy 04-01-2012 06:04 AM

Yeah, I think it's a pallet cleanser, to stop what you just ate effecting what you're about to eat. I think they do similar things at wine tastings and fancy restaurants.

Woodlandnymph 04-01-2012 06:24 AM

I just think its a non-sequitur, seeing pickles hand in hand with pasta. :P But it's true. I've had my share of palette cleansers, like sorbets and all that inbetween dishes. Or, my favorite, when places with REALLY smelly perfumes and stuff have a jar of coffee beans for you to sniff and burn your nostrils out with before sniffing anything else.

It's always WAY too strong smelling, but I always sniff them cause they are there.... :D

Bearzy 04-01-2012 06:28 AM

I like the smell of coffee, but not the taste, so that would be perfect for me!

Woodlandnymph 04-01-2012 06:36 AM

Sadly, coffee grew on me. I used to detest it. But, now I drink it on occasion. But seriously, I girly it up hardcore. I made my own often, and when I go I make mocha cappuccinos. Our cool little hand frother broke, so I use a french press, steam the milk in the microwave, then pump the strainer up and down (just like the frother I had really....). Then we have a little espresso percolator for the stove.

Coffee on occasions. Tea always :D

Bearzy 04-01-2012 06:37 AM

Coffee never, tea forever!

Drop Bear 04-01-2012 10:08 AM

Always good to have another Aussie on board!

I wonder if i can collect a regular from every state in here? Then itd be like pokemonz! Gotta get them all! ^_^

xKeiko 04-01-2012 11:52 AM

Woo, I'd be a regular if I could just freakin' remember to check my subscribed threads. D: Sowwy gaiz. <3

AND TEA IS GREAT, COFFEE IS... mae- fae-... haee-... uhh... NOT GREAT.

Woodlandnymph 04-01-2012 05:10 PM

If you're missing any state, I can just read up on the facts of the missing one and pretend ;)

(haha....waaaaaay too much effort. nvrmind ;) )

Tea is fantastic  me and my mummy used to go to a tea house when I was little and sample teas, have little treats. I've always drank tea. There was no "she's too young for that" phase since I think she needed a tea time partner in crime.

Bearzy 04-01-2012 08:31 PM

Tea time partner in crime? That is possibly the winningest job evar.

Woodlandnymph 04-01-2012 11:28 PM

I was my mums 'wing man' when it came to tea ;)

No joke, the woman is hooked to a tea IV. If we run out of milk for her tea, she gets verra cranky. For the past few years I've grown to detest milk and sugar in my tea. I take it straight unless I have a cold, then it's green tea with a tiny bit of honey. :D

OnYourGoat 04-02-2012 03:17 AM

I'm a tea fan. I have about 20 different teas.. ^^'

Woodlandnymph 04-02-2012 04:15 AM

mmmm. I just had a cuppa just so I could eat the Tim Tam I just bought :D :D

Seriously, those bad boys are hard to find over here  no one knows what they are! Make me sad, cause they are so good. Gotta do the tim tam slam!

Linnea 04-02-2012 04:16 AM

tim tams are for chumps... i wanna jammie-dodger! ;)

Woodlandnymph 04-02-2012 04:17 AM

*Shoves a jammy dodger where the sun don't shine* **Aka in a closet or something**

Tim tams are amazing!

Pearl 04-02-2012 04:23 AM

Shall I pop another shrimp on the barby? *so original* 8DDD

Woodlandnymph 04-02-2012 04:41 AM

Lol Pearl. I think the aussies might revolt!

xKeiko 04-02-2012 04:43 AM

Lmfao, man you guys are tea nuts. I've only had the normal "Aussie" tea. o.o

Woodlandnymph 04-02-2012 04:45 AM

What brands are popular there? I have no idea. I usually buy british and irish brands like Barrett and PG Tips, cause most american teas are crud, unless they are the lesser known brands and such.

Linnea 04-02-2012 04:56 AM

*lol's at 'tea nuts' then runs away*

Pearl 04-02-2012 05:01 AM

I don't drink tea, which is good, because as a Briton in America it could make me very unhappy.

I was comforted by the discussion of jammy dodgers... sigh... I can't wait to go home.

xKeiko 04-02-2012 05:02 AM

Ahh, what are jammy-dodgers?

And I drink Bushels tea. Nomnomnom.
