I love dancing even if I'm not always the best. Fairywaif and I were in show-choir for 3 years, and when we were young we took ballet, and modern dance. Those were really fun. I really wish I could do some sort of martial art, but again money gets in the way. One day We plan on learning belly-dancing like from that Fit-TV show, but I don't think I would have the nerve to perform it unless I was really good.

I was in ballet and modern. Then I was in jazz... and then I picked up bellydance and didn't let it down. So I think I've found my place.

A lot of my stuff ends up being fusion, though. The video that I had of me dancing has since been taken down for some reason, though. >>

Well, dancing and walking require slightly different muscles. It's not so surprising, really.

Actually dancing just requires more muscles. Your body might just have trouble with the way you walk. Try deferent shoes, and not thinking about walking while you walk. Trust me it screws with you.

I'm the same way Feyona. I'm always running into stuff when I walk, but when there's music playing I'm like... fff... dancingtime.

I think I just have a -1 balance modifier when I'm walking and a +5 when I'm dancing... trying be realistic here. There are times when I roll a nat 1 even when I'm dancing. >___>

I would say that you do use different muscles based on the sense that you are using your entire body to balance yourself. You're more likely to offset your hips when you're dancing to compensate, or use arms as a counter. I very rarely think about walking when I'm walking.

That's the biggest indicator for me that I'm uncoordinated, walking into things. That, and being more likely than not unable to catch things thrown at me from even a short distance away.

You actually use tons of muscles when you're just standing up. It takes ton's of processing power too. You never realize it thought, because you do it so much. That's why after a while dancing seems natural, and it's like you have done it all your life.

Seems when I walk I actuall march. ROTC in high school drilled marching into me, and now my normal walking has turned into marching. I don't even think about it at all anymore.

Then again, the same was possible for being able to spin a rifle.

I can contact juggle now. A year ago, I dropped the ball every five seconds. lol. You can learn anything physical. What do you think about the guys who do free running? They didn't just do that naturally, it takes a very great deal of effort and practice.

One time I walked into a door frame and someone asked if I was drunk. I wasn't. On the other hand I can walk, listen to music, and read all at the same time. I had a mile walk home from school when I was in high school, and I would do this on a regular basis when I walked alone. People always seem amazed at this, but I've been reading, and walking at the same time for forever. It's all practice.
