Hetalia is a (in my opinion) super epic anime that features anthromorphic depictions of various- mostly European and east Asian- countries. It's also kind of yaoi-rific, but that's beside the point. |D /awkward by nature.
The full title is Hetalia: Axis Powers because, yes, it centers around Germany (the buff), Italy (the idiot), and Japan (the stoic) in WWII.
