I need to go shopping at this little funky art and craft store nearby again. it's called the purple elephant and the studio they have there is the iron butterfly. the place is funkier than funky in an awesome way! they have everything that makes shopping fun there. I can't call it window shopping though because there are no windows.

I actually might go to a ren faire this weekend, and I want to make either arm warmers...or a new skirt or something to have this crazy layered faery gypsy outfit :drool:

I don't have anything remotely like that.

I made some armwarmers that are striped out of old knee length socks ;) and others out of a sweater... I scalloped the edges by using a certain stitch on the sewing machine, and then just cut holes in them for my thumbs. they look really cute cause the material is already ribbed. Then I made a shrug out of the rest of the sweater, but it's a bit shorter than I meant to make it. Whoops.

that all sounds so awesome woody. I wish I could make cool stuff like that.

I actually did sew something the other day. I asked my mom to teach me how to sew a belt loop back onto a pair of jeans of mine. it was kinda hard.

i wasn't really gone... just didn't know what to say so i didn't say anything :P
