Oh hey Poet, I'm fine. How about you? :)

Eastriel 07-13-2011 07:39 PM

Dexter Morgan: thats not too good, they might need to be trianed after that a possessive dog can often be a dangerous one, then again some dogs are possessive but would never bite. One of my dogs is friendly to everyone, he is the one we've raised since he was a pup, the other one is friendly, but a lot more timid especially around men, we know he had a bad home before he came to us so we think the main form of fear must have been a man. But he's getting better so thats a good thing.

I like going to the cinema, though I do think over the years the 'cinema experience' and 'ambience' of the theatre has faded out because companies are interested in making profit over an exciting novelty or treat. Did you know that the pop corn in a standard bag of popcorn costs less than a penny and the bag only 7p, and theres bags are usually sold for £2.50 minimum, this is what I think is destroying cinema. However there is nothing better than watching a hollywood blockbuster like harry potter or transformers on a huge screen with the speakers blaring it just emmerses you and makes the whole things so exciting and especially with younger viewers thw whole concept of going out somewhere different to see something makes the experience exciting and memorable. Just my opinion.

Please would you not mention the 'Z' word. I have some issues and that word makes me very uncomfortable. I'm sorry if that causes any difficulties for you but I do struggle.... sorry.

Yes, more than likely. Our trees are still quite small. Dad thinks we'll be getting squirrels again, I think it'll be funny seeing them being chased by our dog. xD

I'm sort of blind, well I can't see far away, anything farther than 3 ft becomes a blur.
I think I'm going like reading this. It's quite humorous. I need sleep, I get cranky when I don't get enough sleep. I'm also always tired. No matter if I get sleep or not. But I've always been like that so meh.~ Lol.

If I try going in circles with people it just makes things worse. People know me for being 'nice' so when I say what I truly mean people start talking saying that I'm being mean and being inconsiderate. I can either be so nice I say what you want to hear or I can be me and tell you what I really think.

I didn't want to go, I really didn't but like always she guilt trips me into going. That was the last time I let her do that, because she wanted to go see the other moves too. I straight up told her I hated the first one and I did not want to go through that torture again. >.> She pretended to get offended, because she knew I didn't like Twilight. Later on Tumblr she started posting emo things about how her friend was being mean to her and how no one likes her. All because I said I didn't want to see a movie. Lol.

Dexter Morgan 07-13-2011 08:15 PM

East: Oh, they have no real problem, it's a habit they have of sticking to one person or having a favorite, while still liking everyone. It's much like a human's favoritism for one person over another. We adopted the Danes from a shelter, while they were there for months and no one wanted them because they were no longer puppies. We got Silver, the Shepherd, from a specialty training school.

It's what companies are there for, making money off our wishes and likes and needs. Sometimes I'll deal with the theater, but only if someone really wants to see it before we can get it on DVD. It's mostly my paranoia that someone will come from behind in the dark and kill us! It's not exactly an irrational fear, either. So I avoid big dark rooms with a lot of people as much as I can. We have a bit of a 'theater room' in the basement and when we are not practicing our vocals, we watch a movie or two on that big screen. Just as good as the theater, only it's ours. I could get why the younger ones like to see something from a different place, different experience, so on.

Ah, all right. I'm actually obsessed with it, really. I believe if the world does not end in a robot uprising or a massive world war that destroys society, it will be a "Z" apocalypse. Therefore, I have made a borderline armory and bomb shelter in another room of the basement, and I'm looking into lessons with knives and heavier guns. It's annoying, sometimes...

Roza: Squirrles! They always throw things at us! It's like they know they are better than us and want to let us know.
I lost my right eye recently, and my other eye cannot see anything from any distance. It's all a blur, at any distance, and I wear a contact in the remaining eye.
Eh, insomnia makes a person tired all the time, no matter what time or how much sleep they get when they can sleep. They always say I look like I got up from an autopsy table on certain days.

People hold me to my cynicism and no-holding-back when I tell them what I think and why. I can be nice, of course, it's in me. But this person... She wanted to write with me but her writing was horrible! I tried to tell her she needed some practice, and she got whiny and defensive. I had a hard time believing she was twenty-two. I stopped being nice and said, I'll quote: "You have terrible writing. I tried to be nice but you are obviously not listening or reading right. You need practice, and a lot of it. I would have offered to help, but when you accused me of being 'just like everyone else', that ended. Learn to write, use punctuation, and understand basic sentence structuring and maybe people would want to write more in-depth stories with you."
I just snapped. That was me being nice under those circumstances.

I never give in to guilt trips. Too much pressure and whining. No I'm not doing this or that with you because I don't want to, and if that is the case I will not. But I hate when they get jarred so much they want to go on a social network and cry about everyone hating them because I wanted to do something else that day.

----------

Ack, I have to go again! Duty calls. But I'll be back later.

I forgot to say "Hello" to you, Fleet! So hello, and I hope to speak with you later on, right?

Fleetfantasy 07-13-2011 08:28 PM

The prices of cinema are extortionate nowadays. For example, a city near me charged £12.50 for an adult ticket. I find that ridiculous. You can go and see your favourite live band, or just wait and get the DVD for that price. And then... you have to pay for sweets, and a bottle of water is something like £1.60.
I barely have gone this year, for that reason.
Don't you think, that in this crucial time... what we enjoy should be made at least... cheaper?

I really enjoy going to the cinema. The whole 'feel' of... going out of your way, paying, eating sweets, the whole thing! It makes the film that little bit more enjoyable and amazing. Take Harry Potter, for example! You can hear the zaps and shouts behind your head!

Rose: Yeah, people are often too... touchy and when asking for truth, they still expect you to hold back a little? I think it's stupid personally.
"Be honest, do I look nice in this?"

I've never had anything thrown at me, but the squirrels at my college love to steal our food! xD If you're not careful you will find one sitting next to you eating your food. I actually had a squirrel eat right off my hand. o3o!
Has your vision always been bad or did something happen to cause you to lose your eye. D:
Well at least that explains my tiredness all the time. Lol. So you look all zombie-ish sometimes? lol.

Sounds like a really immature 'little' girl. > w>
Some people just take everything as if other's just want to bash just because they want too.
I don't mind if someone tells me I need to improve on something, it's the only way I'll get better is if someone points it out.

I used to always be taken advantage of, but I got tired of it. Now I just learned that it's okay to say what I really mean and most of the time it's better too, than sugarcoating everything.

Fleet
Well the same friend from the Twilight obsessed fan, has this thing in her head that she's fat and what not. She's a size 0 mind you.. -_- Anyway, we'd be out shopping and she would always say that she needed to lose weight and stuff. I got tired of the one saying 'No you're not fat, you look good" and eventually told her ''Yes, you are. Maybe you should try one of those diets from TV" Her reaction, was priceless.

The Wandering Poet 07-13-2011 09:51 PM

@ Amy - I'm doing alright, trying to get used to using your name cause fant makes me think of those fanta drinks... with those awkward commercials (the nickname I use on megaten)

Fleetfantasy 07-13-2011 11:59 PM

Aha, yeah. I can't stand when people are like that. They don't understand how they talk effects those around them. I mean, someone looks at them like... "Wow, they're so thin!" And then they complain about being fat? It's kind of awful!

And haha! Yes, I am fanta! And good, good!

The Wandering Poet 07-14-2011 12:37 AM

Ugh... I hate when people are like that about their weight... like having a few pounds extra is terrible or something... I made my wife GAIN weight because she was too thin XD I was afraid I was gonna break her

Dottie Mae Evans 07-14-2011 02:04 AM

Ugh... Weight. **goes off to lose some and will talk about hers when she lost some**. :-/ I really should lose some, but then again I don't like talking about weight. :S

demona jay 07-14-2011 02:16 AM

Hiya people! How is everyone today? I'm really bored and had work on my mouth today so I'm trying to keep myself awake for at least a little while.

Vanora 07-14-2011 02:17 AM

I used to hate talking about my weight, but now it's okay. Lol. I used to be overweight in high school, but after I graduated and went to college I lost a lot of it. I'm no size 5 but it beats the size I was in high school.

Dexter Morgan 07-14-2011 02:45 AM

All right, I'm back! Perhaps for a good few hours, so... did anyone miss me? No? All right then.

These squirrels... So stuck up! They waltz right into the house as though they own the place when we keep the doors open on nice days and look around. Sometimes they chase the dogs!
It's always been bad, but my vision did not fail in my right eye. It was taken, eye and all, about seven or so months ago.
Oh yes, I seem to appear zombie-like a lot, especially if it's a bad day. Slouched, shadow-eyed, skin paler than normal, and I just huff at people in response to questions. Bad days, those.

She most certainly did. She was complaining about no one liking her and therefore, her work. I laughed out loud. No one dislikes you! They hate your writing! Buck up a bit and get out into the real world, then you will know that not many people really care about you. She obviously thought she was a goddess of writing. And I'll say, I took a look at her works. They were as bad as her general writing. I mean, I tell others they need to improve, but then I ask if they want to, and if they want help.

For years I let others use me. That was dropped before leaving my teen years, but I suppose we all have that regret of why we let others just walk all over us, and we try to make up for it now.

---------

Weight? I have very little. I'm six and a half feet tall yet weigh less than a hundred twenty pounds. People tend to ask if I have a disorder, which I don't, unless you call an extremely active metabolism accompanied by a lot of physical activity a disorder.

demona jay: Welcome to the thread! I have no doubt we can help you stay awake.

Dottie Mae Evans 07-14-2011 02:49 AM

Hey Dex. :) We missed ya', or at least I did anyways. Can't speak for anyone else.

Hm... I think I should get some sleep. ^_^;

Dexter Morgan 07-14-2011 02:52 AM

You did, Lizzy? How nice to hear! Good things, good. It's a warm feeling.

demona jay 07-14-2011 02:53 AM

@ Dexter: Awesome. So what's up?
Anybody else thinking a steak sounds good right about now or is it just me?

Dexter Morgan 07-14-2011 02:57 AM

What is up... Absolutely nothing anymore. A good day's work calls for sitting inside for the rest of the hundred-degree day.
I'm not thinking that, though. I'm a vegetarian, not of my own choice. Red meat has never found its way into my body's likes, unfortunately.

demona jay 07-14-2011 03:03 AM

I see well in Arizona it's usually over 100 degrees all summer. Some days it's even dangerous to go outside in the heat if you have health problems so I understand heat very well. Sorry about the steak thing then. It's just since I had surgery on my mouth today I can't even have mashed potatoes until Friday. I can only eat pudding right now and I'm not really a huge sugar eater.

Lol. Oh my gosh! That's a funny scene playing in my head. xD
.. Your entire eye?! D: You get into a fight with a falcon or something? >.< Sorry, bad joke was bad..
I groan at people when I'm tired. Especially in the mornings.

Oh geez. Someone had serious issues there. Not sure why people act as if they are all that, perhaps their own insecurities. I don't know, but she sounds very child like and annoying.

I had many friends, well people I thought were my friends. But after I stopped letting them walk all over me, they kind of just stopped talking to me as if I wasn't worth the time or something. Luckily a few actual friends stood by me.

Mmm steak.. I like meat. o 3o

Oh this is lovely.. this dude that I had a huge crush on in high school messaged me asking if I wanted to go out with him. LOL.
No. >.> I don't know what changed in 4 years, besides me not liking him anymore. I guess he figured that my FB picture looks better than my actual face. =-=

Dexter Morgan 07-14-2011 03:14 AM

Demona:
Born in Brazil but spending most of my life in the Midwest, I've always hated winter and late fall, and moving to where it's always hot was just the thing! So hundred degrees works for me, though not when I'm crawling about in an attic or basement where there is no circulation of air.
Eh, that sounds terrible. But at least it's only until Friday! A friend of mine had teeth implants in his entire mouth and could eat no solid food for a couple weeks until they healed enough to be sturdy.

Roza:
It's actually quite fully, but I don't want the dogs to be afraid of them. Chattery little bastards...
No, no falcon. This thing had arms and legs rather than wings and talons, and a knife instead of a sharp beak. But it's all right. My friends and I have embraced it, thus the origin of the nickname Eyes.
I've been known to hiss or growl at someone if I'm especially tired. Heh....

Insecurities are rough things. We all have them, and we do try to defend them. But most of the time the ones who try to defend themselves are halfway capable of talking.

Actually, I've had relationships like that. Thought they could use me however they wanted, and when I stuck up for myself, they abandoned me. Never held a grudge, though.

-------
Oh my. You told him off, then? And what a way to ask you out! A random message after however long asking.

demona jay 07-14-2011 03:26 AM

it's actually 7 days of this nothing but pudding mashed potatoes and ice cream for 7 whole days. I'm gonna be dieing for some steak or turkey by then. My basement is cooler then the rest of my house and I don't have an attic. It must suck to have a hot basement

Dexter Morgan 07-14-2011 03:29 AM

Ah, I see. Not too long a time, though. At least it's not a month, really. But at least at the end of the week you can be all the happier about returning to a normal diet.
Hm? Oh, we don't have a hot basement or attic. We get called out on jobs to take care of pests in attics and basements, and anywhere in between. The attic in our house is occupied by one of us, and the basement has many different areas and uses.

Vanora 07-14-2011 03:32 AM

Hahaha I see. What kind of doggies do you have?
Oh I'm sorry. :c Well I'm glad you didn't let it bother you too much. I don't know how I would react to something like that. I'd probably would have had a panic attack just by the sight of my own blood..

True, I have a few but I try not to let them get to me. I've had a few people have a go at them, but I brush it off to the best of my abilities.

I've been in relationships like that too. One lied to both my friend and me. Getting both of our trust. Eventually, with the help of a friend I found his true intentions. He then proceeded to get mad that I was calling him out on it. But I moved on, and I'm happier than I've ever been. 2 years and counting being with my love. Wouldn't trade him for anyone in the world

--
I most certainly told him off. He's not worth my time.

Dexter Morgan 07-14-2011 03:40 AM

Roza:
We have two Great Dane dogs and a white German Shepherd. Gene, Nickle, and Silverback (who we just call Silver), and Silver is a drug-sniffing dog we got from a specialty-training school.
No, never bothered me. Actually, there was too much pain to be worrying about anything else, except the whereabouts and condition of my Cin, who was with me at the time.

People always nitpick me about my weight, as though I'm insecure about it because I usually wear bottondowns that are a bit too large on me. It's never bothered me, at least I'm agile and faster than they are. And the eye thing. I got a replacement that was custom made to be completely black glass.

It was the liars I hated. And the ones who thought they could beat me around. But I had had enough of that! They never lasted long because I returned the beatings and left. I'm glad to know you found someone. Cin and I have been with one another for... eleven years, I believe.

---
Good for that! How confident was the boy...?

demona jay 07-14-2011 03:43 AM

interesting your like billy off that tv show. Bugs and stuff scare me to death. From the sound of it there's lots of people living in your house too. I have lots of people living with me too. It gets really crazy.
