What do you work as. I don't work as of yet. But I'm hoping to find a nice little saturday job to keep me ticking over, but if i'm honest, unlike most teens I am not money hungry, I like to get bargains and such and I find it silly to have to pay like £20 for a belt or something, it just doesn't make sense to me. Most of my clothes are sale rail items that cost me about £1-£5 and I rarely spend more than £10 in one sitting, I just don't feel the need to. :)

Mhm, that's more or less spot on, though your idea of seeing the image through something else that is distorting the image is interesting and not something I have heard before. And that is what it is like in the fashion and design world, everyone had their own spin on things. :) Exactly for many different people that suit will have many different purposes and ideas behind it. :)

Yeah being one who doesn't often have a lot of money, buying full price books is not viable, If there is a book I want that is too recent to find second hand then I will get it from the library and if I really like it buy it full price or wait to pick up a bargain copy.

Yeah genre wise i'm everywhere, I tend to avoid romance and chic novels too they are just not me, I love fantasy best I would say, but if the book interests me or makes me curious I will give anything a go.

I have a friend who is similar, she hates being seen as 'weak' but you have to remember you are human and weakness is a natural thing and sometimes you are much stronger when being built up by the help of others than you are doing it alone. Yeah I keep a close eye on most of my issues and only tell people I think will understand because I don't want them to perceive me as someone I'm not. I'm someone however that relishes in the support of other and I believe a problem shared is a problem halved. ^^

I know! My longest running roleplay has over 13,000 posts over a year long period though and it is still going strong so thats good.

HEY BANGS. :) It's nice to have another person to talk to, lets see if we can make you stretch out those replies so we can find out more about you. :)
I studied Braque too! We had do do out own piece of cubism with bright pastels. :) It was really fun. We also did our own cubist sculpture from the drawings we had done.

Moi 07-12-2011 10:09 AM

Thanks! I basically made this account in '09 and forgot about it, I'm hoping to post enough in order to get a name change.

Eastriel 07-12-2011 10:10 AM

Bangs, read the end of my mamoth post, I talked to you. :)

Moi 07-12-2011 10:13 AM

Oh yeah, I didn't notice you there Eastriel, sorry. That's exactly what I did though, I did a massive piece and I still have it stored away somewhere, surprisingly. It was so long ago now and I'd usually dispose of that kind of stuff.

Dexter Morgan 07-12-2011 10:19 AM

I'm an exterminator and private investigator. My friends work for me, so they call me Boss. Ah, and our works are free, because we have no need for money. We live with a multi millionaire friend, and it's so much nicer to do something for someone rather than offer services they have to pay for. I started the little business about... oh, perhaps six months ago.

I do have the interesting things to say, no? But it's what I saw. A violin is the most obvious of what I see. Although I will never understand the concept of three heads. Who are you hiding? Why do they have no clothes? And where are they because there are no heads in the two extra necks!

The books we no longer read we give away to others or to flea markets. It's a way of helping just a bit more, I suppose. I'll help until I'm run into the ground, I will.

I hate the predictable generas and storylines. Sometimes they get so obvious I read aloud with them, which is something I never do. Those are the books I want to burn! Burn the failures!

Yes, I fully understand the concept of weakness. But no need to expose the weakest points of your life to those who might be able to use it against you or hurt you where it really matters. Therefore I usually save those confessions for people who really want to know, and who I can trust enough to know they would not take advantage of that knowledge. But I feel the need to shoulder the burden of everyone else and help them carry it, let them know that there are others out there who can understand and handle their problems.

The longest RP I've got now is at least one hundred posts. Ah, and it's not had a reply in a week, and I grow weary and worried.

Bangs: My old account was an '09 one as well. I wish I could find it... But I've got no posts, no friends or real information there, so it's a lost cause.

Moi 07-12-2011 10:22 AM

Dexter: I thought I'd give this site another chance as it's just somewhere refreshing to post. I'm a member of quite a lot of other avatar sites like this and after a while I just find them very samey. I've never really posted here before, so I thought I'd try and see how it goes.

Dexter Morgan 07-12-2011 10:26 AM

I've been a member of many a site, but this one really just calls to me to stay. It's easy-going here, more of a conversation place, and there are not that many members, making it a slower gait rather than a sprint at getting your two cents into a conversation at a time. I all but quit Gaia online for this one.

Moi 07-12-2011 10:32 AM

Gaia is probably the one I've been a member of the longest, I still log in occasionally. Any site that has an easy going community with good conversation, I'll more than likely stick around on.

Dexter Morgan 07-12-2011 10:33 AM

I've been a Gaian for a good eight years. Twelve hackings and false reportings later, I'm here. There are still the people reluctant to leave, so I still go there for their sake, so I'm still a partially active member.

----------

Ack, I have to go. I'll leave you to at it, so have a good day and I'll be back later!

Eastriel 07-12-2011 10:34 AM

Dexter Morgan: I'm so confused dex. xD

Three heads makes me tihkn of some of picasso's works, viewing a face from 3 different angles at once at first I thought they were just creepy clowns and really didn't see them as art but once I knew what they were I was like ohhh I get yah. :D

I can;t bare to part with my things, I hoard way too much and place sentimentality on much too many things.

I'm very good with predicting what happens in stories and films, which can be quite annoying sometimes and people can get annoying because it can seem like I am being overly critical, but I just see the black and white of things and I can't help it. Though sometimes it is nice in novels to just sit back and let the predictable storyline distract you.

Yeah I find I am often shouldering the burden, sometimes it gets too much but I really do try my best to support those around me, but i only have one friend who I feel confident to lean on and controversially she is my ex and now my soul mate. :)

Yeah i really don;t think an average of a post a day is too much to ask for, but I know what it's like when lack of inspiration bites and you just sit there staring blankly at the screen so i;d rather wait a few days for a high quality peice of writing than pressure them to churn out shite. However I do think a week is too long to wait for.

What did you used to be called dex?

Awww bye lovely! x

Bangs: It's okay. No worries. Yeah I never really throw out my old artwork, I like to look back on how far I am come and how much I have progressed. A recent peice of my work has been deemed good enough by my mother to be framed and placed in the living room i'm pretty happy about that. :)

Moi 07-12-2011 10:39 AM

Dexter: I've been a member for eight years aswell, I don't really talk to anyone there anymore myself so I'm a partial member just like you. It was good talking to you Dexter, talk to you again soon hopefully. :)

Eastriel: I actually threw away all my old school work EXCEPT my art work which I like to look back on occasionally. :) The big piece I did was said to be good enough to get framed aswell.

Eastriel 07-12-2011 10:42 AM

Awesome, yeah I'm not sure about some of this years work that I have done, as I did ever bust up casts of mannequins which I have no idea where my mum will store them. But I want to keep them they're really interesting. Most of my other work is flat work though that will be easy to store. I'm mainly a collage and scrapbook artist so it's not usually too hard to store.
God knows what I'll be getting up to at my new college though, I was scared at first but now I am pretty excited. :)

So lets find out some more about each other. How old are you and where are you from?
I'm 17 years old, female and from the UK how about you. :)

Also what are you up to now, are you still in education or working or what? :D

Moi 07-12-2011 10:47 AM

I used to be very into collages myself, I used to love getting all different shades of colours together from various magazines. I'm 20 and I'm from the UK also, I'm currently looking for work which doesn't make me sound particularly exciting. :P

Eastriel 07-12-2011 10:49 AM

Work is hard to find it's understandable.
I just love being able to layer and use different media creatively. :)
Where abouts are you from I'm from Devon. :)

Do you like to read, if so what do you like to read about?

Moi 07-12-2011 10:51 AM

I've been looking for work for a long time now, but it's become more and more difficult recently. I'm from Essex and I'm not much of a reader to be honest. Do we have a dream avatar maker here? I always like messing around with those.

Eastriel 07-12-2011 10:52 AM

Yeah you have to have donated to the site to access it. - It's in the forums though.

I see, thats a shame. What are you interested in then? :)

Moi 07-12-2011 10:58 AM

I may do that once I get used to the site a little more. :) What do you mean by it being in the forums? I don't really have that many interests outside of music and spending time with my boyfriend which takes up a lot of my free time.

Eastriel 07-12-2011 10:59 AM

The dream avi maker is in the forum. :) Just look there and you'll find it.

I see, I'm a singleton, so I guess I have a lot more free time.

What shall we talk about then?

Moi 07-12-2011 11:04 AM

I'm sure I'll find it in time. What kind of music do you like? I haven't asked that question to anyone in a long time. :P

Eastriel 07-12-2011 11:05 AM

I like anything, I'm a huge Gaga fan. But not so much in to popular music. In my opinion it's gone to the dogs mostly. How about you?

Moi 07-12-2011 11:12 AM

I was just thinking why I couldn't reply, I think I accidentally logged myself out, hahah. I like Alternative mainly, very into stuff such as Linkin Park, Enter Shikari and The Killers.

Eastriel 07-12-2011 11:17 AM

Lol! I like Enter Shikari though I haven't listened to them in a while. :)

Moi 07-12-2011 11:20 AM

My boyfriend is also very into music like that, been to a countless number of gigs. I only just started listening to their second album which luckily my boyfriend has so I don't have to buy it, hahah I'm such a cheapskate. :P

Eastriel 07-12-2011 11:22 AM

I like the first album best. :) But I haven't really listened in a while i'm not a huge music listener any more, mainly when I am travelling.

Moi 07-12-2011 11:30 AM

I only really like to listening to music when I'm out and about myself. I just donated to the site as I have too much money to waste hahah, can we sell mennies here?
