@ Xuv - Typically 101 means that it's the first level of the first class.
1(beginner) and 01 (class #1) as compared to 2(intermediate) and 02(class #2)

So as the number gets higher the class gets harder. I think in 201 in most classes they start teaching strictly in that language. At least that's how Japanese at my school is.
