My friend has to learn sign language because a lot of people in his school are deaf so they teach it to all students and the other day when we went to get dinner together, he taught me a bunch of curse words and how to ask someone if they want to do the deed and if they want to kiss and how to say someone is hot. That was an interesting before dinner conversation, haha

Well, Spanish comes from Spaniards that originated form Spain, right?

I never bothered to take a language class. My grandma was Hispanic, so she'd jibber jabber all the time. I did take a Spanish class briefly back in the second third grade I went to, in a different school because it was required there but then we moved again in the middle of third grade and so the school just let me skip a grade because I couldn't ever finish it.

For Middle school, there was no language classes at all. In High School, they only offer Spanish and Latin here. But I think those classes were Core 40 related? And I never did that because I'd have to take Chemistry and Calculus and AP Biology

Yes it does. But all European (Spanish, French, Italian, etc) languages have Latin roots. That's why they look somewhat similar sometimes. 8D

Ah I see. We have Japanese, Spanish and Chinese in high school for me. And college required 2 years of language in order to graduate (unless you're one of the few majors like mines that don't)

it's part of the uhhh liberal arts education system i think? I don't have to take language classes in college since i took a test in highschool that covers my language credits...but I'm tempted to take Japanese.

I think kids should learn the most used language in the world in school just by default. I would just be so much easier to talk to people across the world if we just had one language. For serious like an alien culture is going to want to learn more than one type of human, if any at all.

My dad likes football, so naturally, I like it as well. I don't like the Ravens, but I like the 49ers even less. So... Ravens are my team to root for! XD

Eh... I like other languages, like Japanese. I just don't see the need to learn them right now. If I had to learn Japanese, it would be just so I can understand Japanese games I would import. x.x

I admin a couple facebook pages dedicated to japanese games so it would probably help if i could understand them, haha.

And lol, I don't understand football either. Though i keep seeing statuses about Beyonce and Destiny's child?

Oh, yea... there was a little reunion during the half time show. It was kinda cool, even though I don't like Beyonce.

I never had sports ppl in my family. Well, my grandpa but I only went to watch it with him in his room to get Salt & Vinegar Chips and that was it > w >;;

And when my cousin Anthony got ran over by a train at age 11, he got Green Bay Packers to come and autograph a football for him while he was in the Hospital. I think he did a make a wish thing? Something like that.

LOL Well, they put Japanese games in english too. There's always "language settings" to change to English even if it's mainly Asian

That would screw them up. You can only learn so much at a certain age. xD; Plus the workload that, that would do to them... omg. That's why it's a choice to choose from.

No one really converses with anyone of a different language other than Spanish. Unless you are going abroad (which is rare) and doing foreign things. That's why certain Career descriptions have required foreign languages for you to take. I think they also offer you language classes when your an Exchange student?

We got a lot of Germans when I was a Junior, to come here. We only got one real Japanese person one time. I never knew what happened to them once they were done.

Aww I've actually never read the series. :P

They don't always translate japanese games, it really depends on the genre of the game. things like Final Fantasy are incredibly popular in the US so they translate those types of games. But games like Amnesia, UtaPri, Starry Sky...mm...otome games, they don't really translate because they aren't as popular.

I just finished this game made by Type-Moon but they don't translate most of the games into english :(

Unless there is a STRONG Western following for a game, it won't have duel-languages. ::sigh::

Yea, Japanese is hard. I could purchase Rosetta Stone, but that is hell expensive.
