That's rather normal... there's actually a whole species of canine that thinks they're cats. The fennec fox XD they're so silly and cute but they have the body structure of a dog

There are so many pokemon out there... how can you remember all the names that you personally given?

i named my pokemon based on the species xD

Well... when you get catch a Pokemon, you have the option to name it. Some names are just staples.

For me, if I catch a Zubat, I have to name it Sonic. If I catch a flying bird Pokemon, I usually name it something based on the look. Pidove = Pigeon
