Beans are amazing for vegheads. Also, lentils. A totally awesome thing about traditional ethnic restaurants is that they usually have tons of vegetarian options because America at least is one of the few places that thinks it needs meat everyday. :)

i think i remember Cherry or someone liking granny smith apples?
well i watched 'the chew' and they were making sweet potato pancakes.
since sweet potatoes are my favorite vegtable i thought i would give them a try.
now i changed the granny smith apple for a red delicious apple from washington!
so i hope they turn out sort of the same.
i didn't write the recipe down so this is just from memory.
you will need one onion, one sweet potato and one granny smith apple and some carrots per person.
make sure to ring out the moisture before you start to mix the ingredients.
you grate all of the above vegtables on the large side of a box grater.
*i am going to thinnly juillen them since i do not have a box grater*
you add one quarter cup of flour and two egg whites and then mix them all together.
and add salt and pepper to taste.
they should be gluey and held together but not creamy and thin.
you take a spoon full and put into a hot pan with the bottom covered in peanut oil.
flaten them down if they are in a ball *like a pancake* and cook until golden brown.
drain on paper towels *i crumple mine up so they soak up more oil* then serve!
they sound yummie and i cannot wait to make them.
but today is lazagna day for me.
it's cold outside and i do not want to use the heater yet so.....it's making gravey day and then lazagna for dinner.
the house is gonna smell so yummie!

no nothing like that I just offer plain water. Its got zero carbs and calories. I know everyone's into flavored water but with flavoring comes additives. As for smoothies, theyre awesome, but are packed with calories which kind of defeats getting in shape.

My opinion is if youre going to have flavored water you should flavor it your self. Im not sure if youve ever done this but you should try putting fresh cut cucumber slices in water. Its very refreshing.

i do use lemons in my water every single day but i have never tried cucumber slices.
i will give it a try, thank you Fire.
i haven't tried any coconut water either but i hear it is all the rage ;p .
how has the enrollment for the gym been going so far?
i kind of picture it as the one in 'back to the future' where the ladies are working out by the windows.

@ metal :) hi! welcome to the thread

@hummy lol no Im not sure it could be considered like that. Its circuit training. For the 3 day of my second week I think Im doing ok for members. My long term goal is 300 members, my short term goal is 100 and Ive got about 50-60 members so far I think. lol theres a lot of paperwork involved as I sign up members and some members are more complicated then others.

@Fire: Doing good. Just chatting on sites, drawing, listening to music (and adding music to my grooveshark playlist), and doing stuff on Ernya. I haven't been on Ernya that much and for a long time, but I decided to come back on there but somehow I just keep forgetting to go on there. XD So I'm staying on that site.

Sorry I've been neglecting you guys!! I got addicted to another game... >.< shame. Umm flavored water, I don't like. It usually has a lot of sodium and stuff and I just don't like it. I love smoothies, I've made my own and they're tasty. I prefer water just about all of the time. Even if I go to a restaurant and get like horchata or lassi, I always get water too.

It's okay. By the way, what game are you addicted to?

I don't think I've tried flavored water before, or I think I only drank it once. By the way, I prefer cold water over warm. Smoothies are good, I've had those once at McDonald's, and the flavor is strawberry lemonade (I think).

@ hummy yes I instruct

@ metalgirl I think Ive tried Ernya once but havent played it since.

@ algas smoothies are good but theyre better if you make them your self and from scratch either with fresh or frozen fruit. if you buy them theyre loaded with additives
