Hey, how is everyone today? ^^

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 06-25-2012 01:22 AM

-flops with Cass- = w=

Hay Mystic~

I'm well. :B Nice and productive weekend; so no complaints from me!
How was your weekend?

Mystic 06-25-2012 01:24 AM

Mine was okay. Kinda busy yesterday but today I just relaxed most the day.

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 06-25-2012 01:27 AM

Ooh, nice nice. What did you do yesterday? o wo

Mystic 06-25-2012 01:30 AM

I had to work then worked out in the garden trying to clean up the yard then I had to go back to work again.

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 06-25-2012 01:33 AM

Ohhh, lots of labor! Did your yard/garden get nice and cleaned up though? :D
Our backyard is a big jungley mess and needs to get cleaned up. I think next weekend we're going to tackle it.

Mystic 06-25-2012 01:36 AM

Sorta. There's bur patch in the back of the yard that I need to finish tearing up. Everything in the front looks great though! I want to plant corn, beans, and squash in the back of the yard once that patch is gone. Maybe some wheat too for next year.

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 06-25-2012 01:43 AM

Awesome! Our front yard recently got edged; so it's looking the best it's been since after we moved in. But yus, backyard needs lots of love~

All that sounds yummy! I kind of want to do more plants to try out, but I probably won't as it will cost and I wouldn't want to do corn and some others in containers the way I've been doing my plants now.

Squash makes me want to try squash soup, which I've never had. :c

RoadToGallifrey 06-25-2012 01:45 AM

The most productive thing I did this weekend was buy an app... :ninja:

Mystic 06-25-2012 01:48 AM

I figure that my yard is huge so why not use it? XD There's a greenhouse that sells seedlings cheaper than I can even buy seeds for. I love them. It cost me less than $50 for a full yard of veggies. I'm pretty happy with how my plants are doing so far. Only lost a few peas because of the rabbits and my sister's dog decided that he wanted to eat peas off the vines and accidentally killed them.

I've been meaning to make squash soup. I never tried it either but I hear it's really good.

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 06-25-2012 02:10 AM

@Cass: But a good app!

@Mystic: Haha, that's good thinking. XD And wow, that's a pretty sweet deal. I thought about doing a raised beds, but ultimately ruled it out. I kind of want to get some bell peppers going because they're delicious. Just have a single hot pepper going right now.

Ooh, I'm not alone in squash soup-ville. I think squash has just never been all that appealing to me or something. But I saw a way to make it that was easy (frozen squash) and wanted to try it.

RoadToGallifrey 06-25-2012 02:16 AM

Too true. I need to download some running songs though. I don't really listen to that sort of music when I blog, it makes me seem too energetic.

Mystic 06-25-2012 02:18 AM

I love bell peppers. They're so easy to grow too! Way worth it in my opinion. I wanted to do raised beds as well. I like the look of them and for things like potatoes and onions/eggplant it would be nice. I have a few types of chillies and hot peppers going. Those are going to be gone as soon as peppers are produced from them. XD My sister and I both love hot peppers. I was considering making sauces with them too since the habanaro plants are hopefully going to produce a lot of peppers this year. They already have a ton of flowers so I'm hoping.

I've started eating squash because my bearded dragons eat it. I never really thought much of it before I got them though. I really like butternut squash.

Bucket: I'm the same way with music when I blog too. XD If it's too energetic I think my posts sound a bit too hyper.

RoadToGallifrey 06-25-2012 02:24 AM

Haha I know what you mean! For example at the moment I have Bangarang by Skrillex on and my last like five posts have been a mess haha.

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 06-25-2012 02:41 AM

@Mystic: Ooh are they?? That's good to hear. I need to pick up some bell pepper seeds then! :eager: Yeah, I like the look of them too. My friends that have this big garden full of all kinds of stuff has theirs set up that way. One of their poor plants got destroyed by ants though. :c They had to get some pesticide to stop them quickly before they moved on to other plants. I think they stopped them enough that a few plants from that spot are still okay, but they said they were going to plant more corn in that area anyway. xD
I like hot stuff, just not all the time. So I kind of worry that if I did more, we'd end up with just a lot that aren't used. XDD

I've tried butternut squash and didn't care for it. Could have been the way we cooked it though. Lmao.

@Cass: I like that song. :ninja:

RoadToGallifrey 06-25-2012 02:43 AM

It's the only Skrillex song I like. xD I skipped it though. I moved onto music more acceptable for 4am. :p

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 06-25-2012 02:44 AM

Hahah, well at least you like it despite not liking any others?

No music for me~ Just background noise.

RoadToGallifrey 06-25-2012 02:46 AM

True. xD It was brutal seeing him live though haha.

I'm alone so if I didn't have music it would be really sad. There's not even any traffic just now haha.

Mystic 06-25-2012 02:46 AM

Bucket: Never heard that song. I'm not too big on his music though. Phish...music doesn't have acceptable times. :P I just listen to whatever whenever.

Ikuto: I've always had really good luck with bell peppers. I dread getting ants in the garden. My mom had them destroy everything one year. I'm having problems with cabbage butterflies. I think they're pretty so I feel bad for trying to kill them but they've eaten my cabbage and cauliflower pretty badly. You can always pickle or can the peppers if you get too many. I am for sure doing that with tomatoes this year.

RoadToGallifrey 06-25-2012 02:48 AM

I don't really like...busy...music when I'm getting ready to unwind haha.

Mystic 06-25-2012 02:54 AM

My quiet time normally is around 7 or 8 am. XD I really need to sleep at night and not during the day. Classical works for me when I sleep although I can pretty much sleep through anything.

RoadToGallifrey 06-25-2012 03:09 AM

My quiet time ranges depending on what I'm doing. Sometimes I just skip it all together if I'm really tired.
