So.. I'm actually having a really good day now! At the coffee shop I went to this morning, whoever last sat where I did left some money there, so of course I pocketed that happily. On my way to work I saw that "friend", and at first I was thinking of ways to evade her from waving and trying to get close to my car an say hi (I was stopped at a red light, and she was walking on the side walk with some chick I don't know), but instead she looked at me, looked a bit sad, and left me alone. As she was turning the corner at a building I heard her friend say "Oooh, he's hot. Is that him?". I didn't hear her reply, but I don't care. I was too relieved that she didn't try to talk to me. That felt like such a huge relief!

I'm sure she understands now! And maybe she's shameful of what she did! Maybe she learned a lesson .

I hope so. It's a shame that she didn't figure out that what she was doing was hurtful and

I don't know. I have no idea what she was thinking or why she thought doing that to me would result in anything positive..
I'm always going to be mad at what she did and I never want to be her friend unless she could prove to me she has changed. But even that would take a long time.
I kind of do wish I knew what she was thinking.. Me? On the way to getting fat? My doctor still says I'm in the underweight category. So what if I gained some weight? I kind of needed to. Most of it was in muscle *smug*

From what I have seen of you, no way you are fat. Muscle is def good.
That girl just must be a weirdo into that emaciated look.

Some people have their own opinions on what they find attractive.. I guess hers is just a really weird one...That doesn't mean I have to go back to looking that way for her .... Those days really were extremely hard on me physically and mentally. Sometimes people would offer me food and stuff because they literally thought I was anorexic or something. Now I take a shit load of thyroid hormone replacement meds to keep my body stable. It makes me feel like I take more meds then most old people, but at least my body is much better now!!

As long as you're feeling better now that you've gained weight, that's all that matters.
I had the same problem, strangers asking me if I was anorexic...grrr. It's not like I'd say to them,
"Are you just fat or what?.
I too, feel much better with some weight on.

It's not just the weight gain. The meds themselves helped a lot. My thyroid condition was more than just weight loss and difficulty gaining weight. There were a lot of other pysical problems.. Some of them a bit personal >_> And I was constantly in some kind of pain every day because of it.

Pfftt. Once some fat guy asked me why I was so skinny, and this was only about a month ago. I literally put my face close up to his like this and said "why are you so nosy?".


And then the guy opened up to me. Such a sad guy.. Who tried to put on a tough act.. And somehow that look made him open up to a complete stranger

That's nice that you let him tell his story. I think it's odd that people will think that all of us
slender people are trying to be skinny. I tell then that it is just as hard for me to gain pounds
as it is for a heavy person to lose weight.

Nope. Now the pain I was in is pretty much gone. I sometimes get the symptoms but they are no longer as bad as they used to be.
The guy ended up feeling much better when he found out he made a friend.. Yup. I became friends with that guy Weird way to make a friend huh? Since then I think he's been going to the gym at least 3-4 times a week. I have gone with him a few times since I want to get muscles. It kind of works out pretty well when you have a work out partner~

You don't have a thyroid problem too, do you? Or do you just normally have a fast metabolism?

That's awesome. Working out is much more fun when you have someone to workout with.
No thyroid problem, just a very high metabolism. I hated being skinny when I was a kid.
Took some time to learn to be happy with myself.

It really is! We even have some fun goofing around with the equipment!
I was always skinny too! And I hated it as well! So I know the feeling.
