Not every forum has been fun enough to keep me, really, I sometimes drop out of them and forget they existed, then forget my logins, then decide it's not worth the hassle of rejoining.Then there are the forums I occasionally still read.

I fall asleep and don't say goodnight, I disappear without saying goodbye, and days later I find my way back and everyone is still my friends.

You're not the only one who disappears suddenly, Vera. I do that to at times and I also easily get distracted by other things. It's pretty common for people to suddenly not reply, I think we all are used to it. I, personally, don't think it's rude. It's not like we're all talking face to face and suddenly one of us dashes away without any explanation. Well, if that does happen in real life, I'd think that person might have forgotten something really important to do.

Yeah, I keep on being reminded of that, that it's okay to poof and begone and all, but I still feel bad about it...


Gur, I just wrote like a whole paragraph trying to overexplain all sorts of crap that amounted to "feeling bad makes me a good person."

Oh yeah, when abnormal is the norm, everyone's normal because there is no normal.

You know, relatively speaking, if you judge the idea of what's normal by what the majority of the reality is, those who have lifelong, monogamous, heterosexual marriages with jobs, house, cars, and kids and pets and all could be judged as the most abnormal, socially sick and perverse individuals in the world.

People with two parents who live in the same house and love one another? Freaks!

People who never go hungry, love themselves and others and are always happy, and are perfectly adapted to both biological life and human society without feeling any strain between the two? Ooh, talk about sick!

Yeah, I've always preferred to choose my own dreams and aspirations, myself, but I admit the idea of owning my own house is appealing...

I probably wouldn't do so well with the whole husband and children thing, but others do. Just not my style, some man owning me and my body in exchange for food and lodgings...

If it was love, and happened all of itself and all, sure, but I'm not much for the whole get married, pop out babies thing. Closest I want to get to that is marrying Zira, which I've done twice already, LOL!

Me too. I'd rather be independent and live on my own than get married and have a family for the sake of what society expects of me.
People around here are still really set on those ways (get married, have kids, blah blah blah). I used to always say that I'll only get married if I truly love someone who also loves me back and I'll only have a child/children if I want to, not just because I'm on the right age to get married, have kids, etc.

If it's all they know for stability in life, and they want the best for you, then it's only natural, I guess...

Indeed. It's sad how some people I know in real life think that getting married/pregnant is a way out for them or that it'll solve their current bad situation. A school friend even told my friend that she wants to get pregnant so that she'll finally be independent and away from her family. Everytime I hear those from people, I'm like: What? How did you end up with that solution? -tugs hair in despair while listening-
It's a bit frustrating and sad that even if we try to talk to them, they still won't budge from their decision. I do understand though that they are like that because of what happened in their life but as someone who cares, it still sad to watch them do it and then end up regretting afterwards or not realizing what they did was a mistake but still end up miserable.
