You should be able to close it when you edit your first post, but if you set a deadline it should automatically close.

The one times I used a poll, I kind of left it alone. I should go see if I can edit it.

I know I can't deny times I get a bit excited over something, especially if it's something I've waited for, for a very long time. A small example is my Kindle's arrival in the mail. I always bit back the anticipation that it would be in the mailbox, and wasn't really bothered when it wasn't, despite wanting it very badly. Then the day it finally came, I threw my arms up and yelled "WHOO!" Because no one's around and I can do that kind of thing.

No, I checked around the entire FAQ forums and found the poll posts. And I've taken a look at the editing page of the first post and of course, there's nothing there to get rid of or alter polls.
