Tachi;
I'm usually scared to speak my mind online.
I'm terribly shy and I feel judged most of the time.
Most of my online 'trauma' came from when I was younger and my first time in a forum went really bad. lol.
Where personal opinions don't matter, so sometimes I keep mine to myself. :lol:

I love having my virtual family.
Even if I don't even meet them in person, I still feel comfortable around them.
I'm awkward at first, until I get to know the people first.
My real friends would describe me as loud and outgoing, but those that just met me would say I was super quiet and shy.

The wonderful thing about the internet (which is also its greatest curse) is how easily one can speak their minds. No fear of social or physical ramifications, and re-creating your image and trying again is an e-mail again.

Being able to speak your mind is a true gift. Don't be afraid to be yourself, but also attempt to be respectful and kind when you can.

I always try to be considerate of the other person or people.
I just sometimes say the wrong things, because I fail to express what I want to say. >.<

Ilonka; It's certainly fun. She and her mother are the only friends I have in reality.

Kylie; I do the same thing, actually. Lurk and ninja among the threads but never post and watch the conversations.

Roza; Why? These people don't know you. For all they care you could be a brick wall. The first true argument I had online was about... ten years ago, and I got my point across well because I didn't back down. I stated my opinion and let it be known that random faceless strangers wouldn't even have the chance to change what I think, so their attempts are pretty much fruitless. One has to be prepared to be insulted or assaulted over the Internet, where everyone is fearless.

I wish I had the courage to meet some of the people in reality that I do online. I'm just too much of a nervous wreck. It's nicer this way, in a strange way... Oh, Roz, would you mind if I added you to the frequent poster list? Even if you do wander off and don't come back?

I don't know either. I think the best bet would be to ask someone who's been here a good long while. Maybe a mod?

Tachi;
Yeah, I know this now. >.<
I just wish I had known all this years ago.
I'm still learning the ways of the internet, but I think I'm doing rather well than I was doing years ago.

Sometimes I wish I could meet the people I met online in real life.
But nerves would get to me in the end.
And I don't mind at all!
I do wander off, but only because I get distracted and try to keep up with other posts. x.x
But I will be coming back here that's for sure!

I actually know most of the administrators on a first-name basis back before they became Moderators I knew Jelly/Juru when they were members.

Roza; Everyone has to learn. And we all have our ways. I'm just a bit more assertive if my views are bashed when they ought not be or I find it's just in a ridiculous way. Luckily those days are behind us all. I mean, other than still learning the rules of the Internet. Don't look them up, though, or you'll cease to exist!

Oh, thank you! I'll go update my scroll with your name!

Kylie; I actually saw and became a member of Menewsha back in '07, when it was just launched. I met a few people but... fell away. Then I made this account in '09, quit again, and didn't want to repeat history when I rediscovered this site after becoming reliant on the Internet to live half my life. But knowing the admins and mods well should help you there! They ought to be able to catch you up.

Papi is back! No, I've never read that series. I don't really stray far from the authors I know.

Goodnight, Ilonka! We hope to see you around tomorrow!

Mainly H.P.Lovecraft, Stephen King, Edgar Allen Poe, Dean Koontz, and a bit of Anne Rice. Oh, and a three-book series from... damn, I can't remember. I'll go find the book.

---------- Post added 05-06-2012 at 09:49 PM ----------

Found it! Richard Kadrey.

Tachi;
Oh I wouldn't dare look at the 'rules', ever. o 3o

And no problem. ^^ I'm honoured to be on the list.

Oh I was talking to Demo and he was quite surprised to know that you have a thread in Nations. ^^

Sorry about vanishing. Was feeling very off... Bad. But now it's a bit better!

Roza, I'd avoid the rules. Some are odd. And the rest are actually very true.
Oh no, you told Dexter!? He might try to find me now. He was always nagging me to start my own thread.

Papi; I loved Interview With a Vampire. The movie wasn't half bad either.
