I'm an (aerospace) engineering student, myself, though I got a bit delayed with my studies; I've been in 2-year colleges for 4 years...not really contiguous. I am relieved to be back on track and due to transfer in, most likely, a year, MAYBE three more semesters at most.

I look forward to math class this semester. It's...probably going to be the easiest one I've ever taken; it's the first one I've taken at my current school and my previous school was notorious for its challenging math classes, and the last class I took was two classes combined. This is going o be a relaxing change, most likely. It should be fun without being too anxiety-inducing.

Still to hard...since I dropped out of ninth is going to be very hard. Normal the harder math is in like eleven or twelve grade. Or those who are smarter than I.

I'm still working on common denominators, like how many broken cookies equal a candy bar?

I am pretty bad at maths too. And, I get stuck on equations that are normally quite easy for people.

@Golden-Venus- Math, like any other subject, has nothing to do with how smart you are. In reality, no one is any smarter, than another. We just see, process, and comprehend things differently. I'm good with trig and calculus, but I don't get algebra 2. I'm not great at english studies, but I excel at sciences. Everyone is different. If there were enough teachers, for more one on one guidance, and varying study models, there really would be, no child left behind.

Algebra was fun though. I was smarter than the professor, and she hated it. Problem with algebra, they give you a solution, and want you to write out the formula. There may be 20+ formulas, that would all work. But you have to guess the one they want.
That guessing what formula thing they want annoys me SO MUCH. Especially after going into engineering (didn't get hired), but we basically wrote our own formulas from scratch because the default ones didn't apply.

Please please please tell he government this :| I have a teaching degree and am certified in two US states, and could not find a job :| Oh well, that's what I get for graduating university in 2008, I suppose, as if that was somehow my fault :P

(I'm a little bitter, can you tell? :P lol )

Sarah - I had to go back to school for a similar reason. Wanted to be an engineer but couldn't get a job.

Poet - yeah, I saw that you said about engineering and wondered if it was the same case for you.

Meh, whatever, they like native english speakers over here for teachers, so once I finish learning swedish, I should have no trouble finding a teaching job... knock on wood :P lol. Though honestly I've been pondering maybe doing something else since it's been so long.

It was just such a huge disappointment at first. I even applied for a job opening at a school that knew my family well and didn't get it because there was someone with experience who also applied. When the schools downsized because of the economy collapse, it meant a lot of laid off teachers looking for work, who then got the few openings, and then there was nothing left for recent graduates. I'm assuming it was the same deal with engineering. But yeah, that in particular was crushing, I mean... come on... my sister graduated from that school and my dad was assistant track and field coach, and even with an in like that... *sigh* oh well, that's in the past.

Oh, the engineering problem is different. Here I live 20 minutes from the largest building on the planet (volume), which is used for engineering of airplanes. Unfortunately any person looking for work is being asked for 5+ years of experience upon entry level which is impossible for a graduate.

Host...ish... She has a show on Pirate Radio. Sunday at 8 CST. Tonight was her first show. It's a vape (e-cig) radio show. She does myth busts, reviews, music. If it really takes off, and she gets a following, she'll be doing listener testimonials, and maybe even guests.

---------- Post added 08-16-2015 at 08:04 PM ----------

If you are a "vaper", or smoke and thinking about quitting, it'd be a good show. And she does contests for e-liquid, on every show. I talk like she's a star, cuz she's like me, all or nothing.

She's trying to stand up against the FDA, and tobacco companies, that are trying to crush vaping. And spreading the word about unfair, and just plain wrong, laws and regulations, that tobacco via FDA, and money hungry politicians, are trying to pass. There's things all over the internet, about vaping, both propaganda, and truth. It's hard to know what to believe. So, she does mythbusting, with legitimate sources, and gives the web links, to said sources. I for one can't stand to see super powers, trying to crush competition, like the tobacco companies are doing. The worst part is, e-cigs have more success in getting people off smoking, than patches and gum.

Thanx guys. But yea, it's true. Tobacco companies use the FDA, and their power hungry crusade, to crush competition. And I'd wager $1,000,000, that every politician, who's lobbying against vaping, or trying to pass ludacris laws and regulations, is either getting a kickback from tobacco companies, or is trying to use vaping to make money. Which is fine, to an extent. I believe that everyone should contribute to the national economy (even bowing, with their -1.4% tax rate). But those that the FDA and tobacco companies don't own, are so greedy, that they are going to crush the vaping industry, with their greed.

---------- Post added 08-17-2015 at 12:50 PM ----------

One reason I'm so loud about vaping, and it's enemies is, I smoked for 15 years. I tried patches, gum, nothing worked. Then my girlfriend got me vaping. Since then, I've gone from almost a pack a day, to 1-2 a day; 3 on a really bad day. I feel better, I'm breathing and functioning better. I don't stink of cigarettes all the time; it actually smells rather pleasant, with all the nice flavors. That's why the tobacco companies are fighting so hard to stop vaping. It's a real contender, and could potentially put tobacco companies out of business.

Quitting smoking was the hardest thing I ever did. That was in2001 I didn't quit just once of course but at least twenty times. I would be dead by now had I not quit.
I'm for anything that helps people quit, & you can be Dang sure big tobacco is against it.

I'm up for anything that gets you healthier. Because of my ulcers, I had to cut out carbonation, citrus, alot of the fried food, and alcohol. But, I feel so much healthier, than before I cut it all out.

And also congrats to the both of you on becoming healthier, Wolf and Cheshire!
