Very cool! I suppose if they're using it as a museum then they can't really do much production there.

Haha a national park... gosh unless it's a mountain I'd be screwed there XD at least then it's all up/down if you get lost.

That's not even the worst of it... those are just the airplane doors... there's a few million people doors too... =.=

Okay... correction... it's bigger than I thought...
Quote:
By volume, the Boeing Everett Factory the largest building ever constructed, covering just under a hundred solid acres of ground. To put that in perspective, it's one single building the size of all of Disneyland with 12 acres of covered parking thrown in for good measure. Around 30,000 workers pass through daily, and even with three shifts, employees have to leave in staggered waves to avoid completely swamping the local roads.

uhhhh... yeah. I can't imagine working in a building that would take about an hour plus to walk clear across. there would have to be zoom carts or segways because I'm lazy. XD

Haha... poet likes walking, just hate running in school and stuff...

Poets problem is lack of time comprehension... if poet needs to get from A to B in 10 minutes poet panics because poet can't judge distance and time XD
So I'll be at my interview like 5 hours early (not really joking sadly)

I'm usually an hour or a half-hour early for interviews. XD
I don't like walking long distances on level and hard floors, like concrete. It hurts my knees. :<

Ah yeah almost the entire floor is concrete... but gosh I have some funny memories of that place.

This one guy made a "penny airplane" that, fully constructed of wood and paper weighed the same as a penny. Well... unlike all the rest of the planes, which didn't get very high... >.>" that one almost got stuck on the ceiling.

No, my dad works there, so there were "family days" where they get to take family to the factory. I loved it but I never got to do the "take your kid to work day"... I was too young and they upped the age by a year each time I got closer...

I've seen quite a lot of the factory already actually :3 it's amazing...
(Sure I say that but I still would get lost within minutes...)

Just read back on the conversations in this thread. It's certainly interesting to see how conversations change topic.

And wow, Boeing's factory is insanely huge.

Yeah pretty huge. Biggest building in the world by volume. It's got a runway too for testing planes.
I hear planes being tested all the time.

I suppose it shouldn't be surprising. It makes sense for a factory that makes planes would be so big.

True... but that one is pretty big compared to the rest of the factories XD

I read somewhere they had to add air circulation because the factory got clouds on the ceiling

Yeah that would be weird...
And especially bad cause it would blind the crane operators

I wonder if it would've been possible for there to have been rain in the factory had they kept the clouds....of course it would never actually happen but wouldn't that be weird indeed!

I just noticed LONGCAT's new avatar, white with bits of red, very nice, typical of LONGCAT and balanced.

It's crazy to think of the possibility of indoor rain.

Actually Poet's avatar is pretty nice too

I got pinged three times by hummy, weird thing was that the first two pings lead to the same place where I couldn't find the actual ping in any of her posts.

The third time was to a Random acts of kindness competition results thread.
